Historia
The Battle of Le Hamel on 4 July 1918 was an Allied triumph and strategically very important in the closing stages of WWI. A largely Australian force, commanded by the brilliant Sir John Monash, fought what has been described as the first modern battle - where infantry, tanks, artillery and planes operated together as a coordinated force. Monash planned every detail meticulously, with nothing left to chance. Peter FitzSimons brings this Allied triumph to life and tells this magnificent story as it should be told.

I’ll say I stumbled across this book by accident and I couldn’t be happier it’s kind a let me know a lot about an unknown battle in war one and how the United States first fought alongside the Australians in World War I. Thank you I think you’ll enjoy this book

Historia
In addition to being among the most celebrated of contemporary filmmakers, Quentin Tarantino is possibly the most joyously infectious movie lover alive. For years he has touted in interviews his eventual turn to writing books about films. Now, with Cinema Speculation, the time has come, and the results are everything his passionate fans—and all movie lovers—could have hoped for. Organized around key American films from the 1970s, all of which he first saw as a young moviegoer at the time, this book is as intellectually rigorous and insightful as it is rollicking and entertaining.

Revisado: 07-23-23
Listen to Tarantino’s book and when Mr. Tino is narrating, you will hear the passion that he has not only for these movies, but the craft in general. No, I am not a movie aficionado I was certainly move by his passion and his presentation of the materials and some of the things I enjoyed most is past.
Highly recommend

Historia
The post-Normandy battles that the Allies fought as they struggled for seven months to advance from the Seine to the Rhine were complex and controversial. Even after 60 years, the questions remain of who was responsible for the failure at Nijmegen, the destruction of the British First Airborne Division at Arnhem, and the failure of Operation Market Garden. Could the war in Europe have been won in 1944 with better strategies?

An excellent work on the subject

This was a very educational book for me to read. It really open my eyes to a different perspective of the events, and the challenges facing the allied force in Europe can’t recommend enough.

Historia
Many consider the Battle of Midway to have turned the tide of the Pacific War. It is without question one of the most famous battles in history. Now, for the first time since Gordon W. Prange's best-selling Miracle at Midway, Jonathan Parshall and Anthony Tully offer a new interpretation of this great naval engagement. Shattered Sword makes extensive use of Japanese primary sources. It also corrects the many errors of Mitsuo Fuchida's Midway: The Battle That Doomed Japan It thus forces a major, potentially controversial reevaluation of the great battle.

I can not recommend this book enough. I have read it three times already. It does a tremendous job of giving the reader the correct lens to see the battle through the eyes and doctrine of the Japanese. Thank you the authors you have done a great service to this important moment in history

Berlin, 1964. The Greater German Reich stretches from the Rhine to the Urals and keeps an uneasy peace with its nuclear rival, the United States. This book is a alternate timeline gem. You will find yourself routing for the most unlikely of heroes. A SS Police Officer as investigates a death that leads to a larger mystery. Not knowing to quit while he is ahead our hero is now trending where high ranking dogs lie.
A really good “who and why they done it” yarn about a time when Hitler had won the war in Europe

Jumped the Shark at the end but good story.
Revisado: 05-07-18
I enjoyed this book but at the end it really became to much. If the stakes were what they were ( no spoilers) no intelligent being would take the risk.
Good characters story runs well. The leap of faith the characters make at the end stretch the bounds of even science fiction.
If you can past this enjoy the ride.
