When a teen falls while taking a selfie at the edge of a cliff, the last thing she sees before plummeting to her death is Katie Harmon, the nine-year-old girl she was babysitting, looking down at her. Investigators gather at the scene, and Katie’s mother, Sara, rushes to comfort her daughter. Yet there’s a small, secret ping of alarm in Sara’s heart that she cannot share—though rookie detective Kim Pierce senses it. For years, others have tried to unravel this secret. Great book! Lots of twists and turns.
Revisado: 04-23-25
Great book, lots of twist And turns in this one. It kept me guessing all the way through the whole story. I really enjoyed it and would read it again. Also recommend to anyone that likes this type of genre. no bad language, and no offensive parts of the story. The narrator would have been better in my opinion, to just say the men's parts of the story and say that it is so and so, rather than trying to imitate The man's voice. Excellent work just the same. Historia
A few years after quitting his job to follow an ill-advised dream of becoming a guide on the Colorado River, Kevin Fedarko was approached by his friend, the National Geographic photographer Pete McBride, with a vision as bold as it was harebrained. Together, they would embark on an end-to-end traverse of the Grand Canyon, a journey that, McBride promised, would be “a walk in the park.” Against his better judgment, Fedarko agreed to the scheme. The ensuing ordeal, which lasted more than a year, revealed a place that was richer, and far more complex, than anything the two men had imagined.

Terrific story, I loved the whole thing. I didn't want it to end just as the author that wrote the story and hiked the hike. The author is excellent with his quick wit and great descriptions. it felt like I was part of his journey. I would read this again at a later time, And recommend it to anyone that loves the CDT and Hiking. JS

Dr. James Sheppard, the local physician, discovers the body of his friend and narrates the ensuing hunt for the killer. This book has meant so much to me as I have lost the vision of 1 eye. To see what could happen, and did happen to so many people is most encouraging. And to follow the process of Ming Wang is absolutely fascinating. I highly recommend this book. The performance is excellent, and the narrator speaks clearly, and I can understand every word. The story is so incredible. A must read! To Learn of his willingness to accept Christianity, and God into his life, is the best part! It was not something he had ever been exposed to in China. again, I highly recommend this story!!! JS
