Historia
In the United States, teenagers can focus on one task for only sixty-five seconds at a time, and office workers average only three minutes. Like so many of us, Johann Hari was finding that constantly switching from device to device and tab to tab was a diminishing and depressing way to live. He tried all sorts of self-help solutions—even abandoning his phone for three months—but nothing seemed to work. So Hari went on an epic journey across the world to interview the leading experts on human attention—and he discovered that everything we think we know about this crisis is wrong.

This is more in the line of a narrator reading a book
Revisado: 08-14-20
This is trash. The narrator Jess Ray doesn’t go well with a book on meditation. Her voice isn’t soothing it’s very pronounced. Her voice doesn’t allow for relaxation. Not soft spoken. Talking too frequently. This caused anxiety in me. The second I get a slight moment she’s starting up. Couldn’t make it past 2nd one. There’s no mood set to meditate. Worst one I’ve had.

Historia
After the sudden death of her husband, Sheryl Sandberg felt certain that she and her children would never feel pure joy again. "I was in 'the void,'" she writes, "a vast emptiness that fills your heart and lungs and restricts your ability to think or even breathe." Her friend Adam Grant, a psychologist at Wharton, told her there are concrete steps people can take to recover and rebound from life-shattering experiences. We are not born with a fixed amount of resilience. It is a muscle that everyone can build.

Resilience. Could be the title of this book for the lessons it teaches or because of how will this book is put together. This book tackles some very tough subjects however what makes it flow sooo well and pleasantries of the narrator's voice. Which makes it a good lesson. Mainly, this book prepares you for post traumatic stress by showing acts of resilience through some of life's most difficult times. It equips w tools to quickly mourn and come out the other end a much stronger person. As well prepares you for what you will deal with during ordeal. This book is for everyone.

This is the most self loathing book I've ever had. I wish it could be given zero stars. It comes across as the salesman promising you everything just to get you to sign the dotted line and gives you nothing. This book has little substance period. This book is mostly about repetition of what the 5 sec rule will do for you and that's it. It build you up & delivery zero. Pathetically written book with too much insight on her life and how phenomenal she is. The narrator is over acting and comes across as fake & dising

Historia
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

While it's true that some functions in the aging brain decline, neuroscientists have discovered that many other brain functions remain stable - or even improve - as we age.
