Our obsession with Rangers continues. My boys love the books. Makes for a quiet car trip. This book ramped up the excitement and suspense - can't wait to download the next one.

Kids Favourite
Revisado: 05-27-14
My kids loved this story and series in fact. At first I thought it a bit naive and young for them but I liked the way it gently introduced what would have been the experiences of a child during this time of history. They couldn't get enough of it and were talking about it for ages. Great read great story, loved hearing the author read.

Historia
Considered one of the all-time great American works of fiction, Fitzgerald’s glorious yet ultimately tragic social satire on the Jazz Age encapsulates the exuberance, energy and decadence of an era. After the Great War, the mysterious Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, pursues wealth, riches and the lady he lost to another man with stoic determination. He buys a mansion across from her house and throws lavish parties to entice her. When Gatsby finally does reunite with Daisy Buchanan, tragic events are set in motion.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A different narrator.
What do you think your next listen will be?
?
How could the performance have been better?
More life and expression in the reading.
What character would you cut from Transfer of Power?
?

Historia
First published in 1875, this classic excursion into Mark Twain's Mississippi River country will lighten your heart even today. The characters themselves - Tom's aunt Polly, his friends Becky and Huck, even Injun Joe - evoke nostalgia for a simpler, more rural lifestyle. Mark Twain describes a people and a place full of affection, wit, and adventure...where a dark summer night in a graveyard searching for black cats, or even getting lost during a cave exploration, can be a truly exciting and fulfilling experience.
