I appreciate this biography because it felt like Stacey revealed his soul and allowed me to keep my flame burning. Very informative about the niche entertainment industry. Stacey is very honest about how competitive his world is but very hopeful for next generation of POC tech entrepreneurs. In the matrix of 1)Heart 2) Smart 3) Guts and 4) Luck it seems like Stacey is at his core Heart and Guts. Over the years he acquired Smart and Luck.

The concepts in this book seem to mirror similar concepts found in NLP (nuero linguistic programming) and CBT. Replace agreement with limiting/empowering belief and you have the 4 algorithms that create the foundation for inner peace.

I appreciate how Dapper Dan shares his personal journey with the historical milieu of Harlem throughout each decade.

Dapper Dan skillfully weaves the connection between business, technology, politics, and spirituality through his own journey.

This book is a good life map for those courageous enough to create their own path to greatness.

What I appreciate about this book is she is honest beyond belief. I felt like I was watching a movie and I could experience all the twist and turns as though I was there. This book is part memoir, part self-help, and totally entertaining.

Great insight - Fun and Fundamental

I appreciate how Andre is fair and reasonable in his assessment of his experience. He seems to have the perspective to look past his bias with his most painful experiences and consider all the perspectives. He does a great job of illustrating the tradeoffs of his life decision.

Great Manual on navigating the 21st century as ambitious intelligent and athletic black man in America.

Although it is a memoir I felt like I got a crash course:

1-Urban politics
2-Business of Sports and Media
3-Sports Medicine

Andre put enough back story to explain the bigger context and enough details so that I felt like I was facing the challenges of AAU, college ball, NBA draft, and injuries.

*** Spoiler Alert **** When Andre said ‘what would a damn nigga say.....’ - I literally grasped for air and then busted out laughing out loud on streets listening to my audible on the way to work.
