Historia
Thanks to Caleb’s and Bristol’s bravery, Cocke County has been freed from the Koontz family’s greedy grip. However, in a world that is being savaged by an economically induced famine, the local criminal cartel is far from the only threat. To combat the growing crisis, President Teivel signs the Restore America Act into law. The new legislation grants emergency powers to FEMA enabling them to set up shelter and sustenance centers in all major metro areas. The Restore America Act mandates that all citizens report to the nearest relief center or face involuntary relocation.

Goodwin rarely turns in B work
Revisado: 11-08-23
Not crazy about this narrator. Had to listen at 1.25 and it still felt draggish. His inflections often sound inappropriately conspiratorial. Still better than listening to female narrators try to caveman-up “male sounding” voices.
The only time Goodwin doesn’t connect hard and loud on the ball is in his previous series’s that feature female main characters who I personally have hard time developing empathy toward. Such is not the case here. This one kinda phones in the Christian theme but when Days of Noah, Days of Elijah and American Exit Strategy are “earlier works” that’s setting the bar at the top of the genre, industrywide. Goodwin is the ONLY dystopian fiction writer whose books I smash “order” upon seeing hit my Audible queue

Historia
Written from a Christian constitutional worldview, American Meltdown, Book Two of The Economic Collapse Chronicles uses dystopian fiction to take an in-depth look at the economic and political trends that have taken America to the edge of bankruptcy. The book assesses the current course of the nation and projects it into the near future. In Book Two, America has entered into a full scale financial meltdown. The members of the Bair family do the best they can to navigate a complete currency collapse and the social disruptions that come with it.

One of Goodwin’s Best
Revisado: 11-24-21
America is dying under a gaggle of illegitimate leadership who are intentionally collapsing the economy and liberties that we all take for granted. Can the protagonist families in Idaho and Eastern Kentucky survive? How Mark Goodwin saw this in 2013 is known only to God and he. Will America survive the post coup d’etat of a scamlection and digital overthrow? It remains to be seen.
Oh. And read the book. It has an important plot too. Jon Robberson. November 24, 2021
