Historia
While celebrating his latest victory, Exarch Niramyn carelessly lets his guard down. Seeing his chance, the mighty Myzalik—Nym's rival of a thousand years—casts a spell that sends him back to adolescence, with no idea who he really is or how he came to be washed up on the beach of Bloodfin Cove. Fortunately, the kindly Ciana comes along and saves him. But she quickly realizes he's no ordinary child. For one thing, he has magical abilities she's never seen in someone so young. And for another, he can fly.

Pretty Solid Book
Revisado: 03-14-24
When I found this title, it didn’t have any reviews on audible or amazon so I decided to take a chance on it and I’m glad I did, it’s a fun story. What I find the weakest part of this book is the blurb, its kind of a synopsis of the first few hours of the book and not really what to expect from the story.
We follow Nym as he travels across the world, interacting with new and interesting people, monsters, and places while he tries to regain his memories of who he is and where he’s from. This reads more like a traditional coming of age adventure fantasy with some progression in the form of stages of magic and some other tropes of the genre. If you are looking for a magic academy read, this is not that, at least within this book.
Nym’s character is what you'd expect from god-like being who’s been reverted back to a child and lost his memory; ambitious, cocky (almost borderline arrogant) and in some cases petty, but likeable, like that mischievous younger brother who’s always causing trouble for himself, you can’t help but laugh at his antics.
Narration isn’t too bad, sometimes it feels like the pacing is a bit too fast or in some instances a long run on sentence. Male and female voices done well and each character sounds different.
Overall a solid fantasy adventure, look forward to more.

Want More Please!
Revisado: 04-05-19
I loved this book, I just want more. 5hrs to me seems a little on the short side even for a Urban Fantasy novel. My only real nit pick. What I did like:
- The fact the main character isn't a mage/vampire ect... is refreshing.
- Main character is likable and has plenty of room for character growth.
- Death appears in book one? Bold move.
- Luke Daniels does a wonderful job as always.
- Lucy
I recommend this book to anyone one who wants a good page turner and a quick read/listen. Hope there is more to come.

Historia
Eco-terrorists unleash the worst attack the world has ever seen. Over 25,000 autonomous combat drones are released in Manhattan. Hundreds of thousands are dead, and the entire island is evacuated and quarantined in just a few days' time. Ten years later, Manhattan is still empty of humans, with the exception of the salvage specialists of the most watched reality show in history: Zone War. Produced live and unedited, the show follows five teams of armored vehicle specialists who brave the active drones to recover lost riches and collect bounties on dead ones.

Interesting New Story
Revisado: 01-24-19
Take a younger Bob Lee Swagger, outfit him with some near future tech, an AI drone companion and throw him in a killer drone infested Manhattan and you have Zone War.
The book is an interesting read and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. James Patrick Cronin did an amazing job as always with the narration and John Conroe has a way of writing that leaves you wanting more. Overall great characters and some page turning action have made this book a great start to my 2019 audible library. Highly recommended!

Great Follow Up!
Revisado: 09-12-18
This book was pretty great! Too often do we see in fantasy or scifi books where the main character is over powered and never had to work for his/her strengths, this book is not like that. The main character is put through a grueling training regimen and is forced to start at the basics while all his friends and rivals are basically speed leveling. As a gamer you can understand how he feels falling behind the pack and the struggle of doing things properly versus being boosted. I am a fan of movies and books that include training montages and I feel that describes this entire book to a T. All in all I think this a pretty good sequel that sets up future books pretty nicely, it has a good amount of action, character growth and humor that held my attention to the end. MacLeod Andrews does a phenomenal job as always with this book and continues to be one of my favorite narrators. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

Historia
Gabriel Delling might call himself a professional con artist, but when walking superstitions start trying to bite his face off, his charm is shockingly unhelpful. It turns out living nightmares almost never appreciate a good joke. Together with a succubus who insists on constantly saving his life, Gabe desperately tries to survive a new reality that suddenly features demons, legends, and a giant locust named Dale - all of whom pretty much hate his guts. And when an ancient horror comes hunting for a spirit locked in his head, Gabe finds himself faced with the excruciating choice between death...or becoming some kind of freaking hero.

Next Book Please!
Revisado: 07-27-18
After listening to hundreds of audio books and never writing a review I felt like I should this time. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it has amazing characters, great pacing, as well as an interesting take on urban fantasy world building. The main character is interesting and can best be described as the lovable rouge who often finds himself way over his head. All in all I loved this book and can't wait for more.
