Historia
The Time Has Come offers a plainspoken and forthright look at why and how men need to actively fight for gender equality. As the cofounder of the White Ribbon Campaign, the largest international coalition of men seeking to end violence against women, Michael Kaufman is a global advocate for gender equality. Kaufman’s new book explores how a culture based in toxic masculinity hurts people (and their children), how men can become better allies in smashing the patriarchy, and how real gender equality creates advancements in both the workplace and the global economy.

Terrible performance
Revisado: 01-27-23
Good message, seemingly well researched - but the manner in which the author reads it is grating.

Historia
NASA is about to launch Apollo 18. While the mission has been billed as a scientific one, flight controller Kazimieras "Kaz" Zemeckis knows there is a darker objective. Intelligence has discovered a secret Soviet space station spying on America, and Apollo 18 may be the only chance to stop it. But as Kaz races to keep the NASA crew one step ahead of their Russian rivals, a deadly accident reveals that not everyone involved is who they were thought to be. With political stakes stretched to the breaking point, the White House and the Kremlin can only watch as their astronauts collide.

Great story, SLOW Narration
Revisado: 10-13-22
I really enjoyed this book especially because the narration included different tones and accents for different characters. However, the narrator reads so slowly!! I had to listen at 1.7x or faster just for it to sound like an average speech cadence to me. Good news, though, because it took considerably less time!
This was one of those books that develops chargers enough that you feel sad when it ends.

Historia
The true story of what took place in Donald Trump’s White House during a disastrous 2020 has never before been told in full. What was really going on around the president, as the government failed to contain the coronavirus and over half a million Americans perished? Who was influencing Trump after he refused to concede an election he had clearly lost and spread lies about election fraud? To answer these questions, Phil Rucker and Carol Leonnig reveal a dysfunctional and bumbling presidency’s inner workings in unprecedented, stunning detail.

Well researched, well read

Every American should read this book. It is well researched, enlightening, and insightful - especially in light of the ongoing Jan 6 investigations.
