Historia
In 2009, Samieh Hezari made a terrible mistake. She flew from her adopted home of Ireland to her birthplace in Iran so her 14-month-old daughter, Rojha, could be introduced to the child's father. When the violent and unstable father refused to allow his daughter to leave and demanded that Samieh renew their relationship, a two-week holiday became a desperate five-year battle to get her daughter out of Iran. If Samieh could not do so before Rojha turned seven, the father could take sole custody - forever.

amazing story

The speaker/Rieder did a very good job. The storyline is amazing. Especially reading as an American who has freedom for granted, it’s hard to imagine, living the lifestyle such as this.

Historia
Your dad’s not a good person. Your dad killed people, son. These are some of the last words Jack Givins’ father spoke to him before he was whisked away by witness protection, leaving Jack and his mother to pick up the shattered pieces of their lives as best they could. Years later, Jack is a grown man with problems of his own. He’s a talented but struggling author, barely scraping by on the royalties from his moderately successful first book. So when the U.S. Marshals approach him with a lucrative opportunity, he’s in no position to turn them down.

Easy to listen to, and the performance was not overdone… Perfect voice. The storyline was great. I hope everyone else enjoys this as much as I did.

Touched e to my core
Revisado: 07-27-23
I had no preconceived ideas what this book was about. Someone said it is a little “hokey “ and that’s probably true, but in the end, anyone who has gone through a journey of losing someone either through death or just broken relationships can feel the brevity of life through this book. The message…life is short; don’t allow relationships to lapse without loving whenever you have the opportunity.

Historia
Few westerners will ever be able to understand Muslim or Afghan society unless they are part of a Muslim family. Twenty years old and in love, Phyllis Chesler, a Jewish-American girl from Brooklyn, embarked on an adventure that has lasted for more than a half-century. Drawing upon her personal diaries, Chesler recounts her ordeal, the nature of gender apartheid - and her longing to explore this beautiful, ancient, and exotic country and culture.

Interesting story, but not as the title suggests
Revisado: 04-25-23
Having read a lot of stories about the women of Iraq and Iran, this one was more about the author’s political agenda. The first half was more about her being “an American bride” but the second half was more about establishing her political viewpoint. Yes, it was very interesting… I’m just saying that the title is misleading.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Very good book, but…
Revisado: 09-30-22
I loved the storyline; I loved the characters. What I didn’t love was the male voice trying to portray and sound like a kidnapped female victim. When a male voice is trying to take on the role of a young female girl, it is just not good and in my opinion was the only downfall of the entire Audible experience. Otherwise, I loved everything about the book.

I made it through about 40 chapters and just thought “enough.” I didn’t even care to finish it.
Revisado: 08-18-22
The narrators voice is irritating to listen to. The story did not keep me interested either. As a matter fact, after spending many days listening to this I questioned why I was even finishing it. To me, I do not recommend it at all.
