Historia
It begins on the shaded town square in a sleepy Southern town. A spirited seven-year-old has a brisk business at her lemonade stand. But the little girl’s pretty yellow dress can’t quite hide the ugly scar on her chest. Her latest customer, a bearded stranger, drains his cup and heads to his car, his mind on a boat he's restoring at a nearby lake. The stranger understands more about the scar than he wants to admit. And the beat-up bread truck careening around the corner with its radio blaring is about to change the trajectory of both their lives.

This was one of the best books I’ve listened to in years! I’m already planning to order several copies to gift to family members at Christmas.

Historia
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

Always been a Crichton fan AND a Patterson fan. When I saw this collab with the two, I knew I had to hear it. I wasn’t disappointed! It was a great, and I definitely recommend it. RIP Michael Crichton, and thank you Ms. Crichton and James Patterson for making this happen.

Historia
America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse in the near future. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city.

Kyle Tait, having survived the harrowing, cross-country journey home to his family, must now struggle for existence in a post-EMP world that no one could have imagined just three short months prior. Each day brings new challenges - how to fight the bitter cold, where to scavenge food for the table, and how to best fend off intruders and keep their community safe. As the cold, dark days of winter begin the slow transition to spring, the Tait family is faced with a challenge that dwarfs all others.

Excellent book series

I’m trying to find info on any upcoming books in the series. I know there had to be more! This particular audiobook was great. The only reason I gave four stars to Neil’s reading is because there were a few things he read that you could tell he’s not familiar with, so it just sounded funny when he said it. Other than that he did great and the story, just like 77 Days of September, was awesome!
