This absolutely did not work for me and not sure if it this simplistic storytelling and the stereotypical characters were supposed to reveal a profound meaning. If so, I didn’t find it.

Content thoughtful despite narration

I found great ideas and inspiration from concepts and scenarios presented. Unfortunately the narration resembles AI programming. Wish I had read this as opposed to listened, it was that lackluster and mechanical, my first negative experience with Audible narration.

Before finishing Michael J Fox’s book I donated to his foundation because he inspired me. I don’t have a family member or an acquaintance with PD. Listening to his narrative reminded me that you are defined by the choices you make in life. I felt like I needed to put action to reinforce the learning. Deeply insightful memoir

I found Tara Westover’s story raw, emotional and insightful. There were several moments for me in her described situations, where I could simultaneously not imagine that could happen and see exactly how that could happen. For me this story was a journey, witnessing how complex relationships are with family, authority and ourselves.
