Historia
Crime-writer-turned-amateur-sleuth Jen has taken over the running of the local bookstore in her hometown of Riddleton. But balancing the books at Ravenous Readers is nothing compared to meeting the deadline for her new novel. Dodging phone calls from her editor takes a back seat, however, when the local police chief is poisoned. To solve the murder, Jen must dust off her detective hat once more. With everyone in town seemingly a suspect, and evidence planted to incriminate local police officer and close friend Eric, Jen is working against the clock.

The colorful, descriptive phrases describing things, places and people
Revisado: 12-04-24
The down home feel and quirky descriptions, made the book an enjoyable and fun read. I like the hint of a southern twang, but it was not as consistent as I believe it should’ve been. Thanks for not taking the Kissyface stuff too far. It would’ve been out of place, spoiling the mood and flow of the story.

Located in the bullet-riddled heart of Texas, the Lost Coyote Saloon in the town of Wolf Creek is a magnet for drifters, grifters, and outlaws on the run. That's why the bar's manager, the beautiful Rachel Baskin, is glad the new owner is Ben Savage. A former Texas Ranger with a fast draw and low threshold for trouble, Savage knows how to keep the peace. But when notorious hellraiser Malcolm Hazzard is released from prison—and heading to Wolf Creek to kill the local sheriff—the whole town knows the lawman doesn't have a prayer. There's only one way to stop a devil like Hazzard.

The various twist and turns and stories inside the complete story

I liked the mix of drama and action… Heavier on the action, and enough of the hint of romance and intrigue to spice up the whole presentation. The reader did an excellent job.

the uniqueness of the cast of characters
Revisado: 04-03-24
I like the sense of justice and injustice, the emotions of the characters, the tasty mix of western plains and southern cultures.

More Than Captivating
Revisado: 11-09-23
Curiously slow in the beginning, yet it is so emotionally descriptive, it becomes a Bullet Train Mind Ride.
