Historia
New York Times best-selling author James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux novels began with this first hard-hitting entry in the series. In The Neon Rain, Detective Robicheaux fishes a prostitute's corpse from a New Orleans bayou and finds that no one, not even the law, cares about a dead hooker.

Descriptive writing saves a weak story.
Revisado: 09-27-18
Burke is an amazingly descriptive writer. You can vividly see, smell and hear everything he describes. I just wish the storyline was half as good. It was a rather lackluster read, but his vivid descriptions kept me going to the end.

Historia
In Los Angeles in 1988, a 16-year-old girl disappeared from her home and was later found dead of a gunshot wound to the chest. The death appeared at first to be a suicide, but some of the evidence contradicted that scenario, and detectives came to believe this was in fact a murder. Despite a by-the-book investigation, no one was ever charged.

Too big of a clue, too early.
Revisado: 01-22-18
Of all the Michael Connelly books I have read and loved, this was the most disappointing. Knew who the killer was in Chapter 3. Too obvious.

A Good Listen!

I may have enjoyed the book in Don Bruns stuff series the most. The characters are evolving and the plot was intriguing. I recommend it for sure.
