Historia
Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

Decent story…..luck
Revisado: 08-19-24
These characters perhaps are more “realistic” than some. I say that because they aren’t perfectly tactical all the time. They are however lucky, lucky, lucky. Over and over again they make stupid mistakes which is frustrating. But they get by.
The story jumps a bit much leaving out what could be interesting stories.

Lot of set up in this one but I’m invested
Revisado: 03-18-24
Narrator was good throughout. The story in this one though was just eehhhhh. Loved the first two but this one felt like a grasp for money. Decent still but really little more than a first part of a bigger book perhaps. I’ll buy a fourth if it comes out but it would need to really deliver.

I’m struggling a bit. The story has me interested as it
Is honestly a bit more realist as to how things would likely go down. Folks aren’t immediately transformed into animals and the heroes aren’t immediately Jason Bourne. Little contrived at times. The narrator is a problem for me. Kind of like he reads it once and whatever comes out is the final version.
I’m going to get the second book and give it a second chance.

Journey was worth it but end was ….
Revisado: 06-01-22
Story, character development, narration all were great. Such a good experience. So much more could have been done. Did seem like this last book was just giving up and wanted to end the series. Still enjoyable but sort of anticlimactic. Several reveals and jumps to punchlines that could have been elaborated on and the discovery of each enjoyed.

Historia
The situation around the Sanders’ farm is bleak, and likely to remain that way. A region trying to right itself after an incredible disaster is hit once again. This time, it may well be a knockout blow for many. The farm is still running, still surviving, and still trying to get things restarted. Isolation has been the only preventative for the plague, and this leaves them with little to no news of anything happening in the wider world. That is about to change. The Fires of America seem to have truly burned out, leaving nothing more than a few embers. But embers can still burn….

Historia
Clayton Sanders left home the minute he had his high school diploma in hand. He waited that long only because the Army wouldn't accept him without one. Now, 10 years later, he's home. Home with no warning, no advance notice, no anything after being gone 10 years with almost no contact with his family. Home carrying a secret that is burning him up from the inside. A secret that has pushed him to the brink, forcing him to become a criminal in order to be where his family needs him to be, even though they don't realize it yet. Because Clayton knows something they don't.

Good story line. Realistic flow.
Revisado: 03-14-22
This book/series is much like a long running television series. It isn’t action packed or harrowing feats at every turn. No one could survive if that were reality. It end and flows. Good storyline, characters developing and changing over time. I like it and will keep listening. In the early stories the narrator was hard to listen to. He has grown on me now though. This particular book was a bit sloppy though in regards to narration. Poor pronunciation, back ground noises, got inflection and tone of characters confused at times. Still I’m going to keep going. I like it and want to see how things turn out for the Sanders and middle Tennessee.

Historia
“No plan survives contact with the enemy.” An age-old idiom that Clay Sanders knows very well. In this case however, it's surviving contact with the people who are supposed to be on his side. Plus, the "Citizen's Committee" is still out there somewhere, there's a nutty "Reverend" working the airwaves into a frenzy, there are disgruntled members of the community sowing discord and strife, apparent rogue nomadic elements of some kind, cannibals still active in their area, and more....

Good but frustrating
Revisado: 02-05-22
I’ll keep going. Overall I like it. The narrator was initially grating a bit but his voice has grown on me. Maybe it’s intentional. The whole cast of characters are idiots though. Not overall. They are likable and I like how they work instructions and tips into discussion and storyline. These fools though deserve to get wiped out and displaced. They keep talking about the mistakes they made and then doing it again and again and skate by on luck. The old man is a dick. Thinks he’s The Godfather of all. Maybe he is … he owns the place but the one reasonably cautious character, Clay, swings from martyr to child as he defers and pouts constantly. I’ll keep going but if they don’t get their asses waxed and all their shit taken it will be strictly by luck. They keep giving others every possible chance to do them in.

Good story, possible scenario whether or not one wants to admit
Revisado: 08-29-21
Enjoyable. Good story. Like that many stories and players are told. Only downside is that the U.S. and people seem to be duped at each turn and a step behind. I started to give a 3 on story mostly because I don’t want to believe we are that stupid or that we are that arrogant. On second thought I changed it to 5. History, past and present have proven we are that stupid, arrogant, or cheap.
