Historia
Ginny Murphy is a total guy’s girl. She’s always found friendships with boys easier to form and keep drama-free–as long as they don’t fall for her, and she doesn’t fall for them. She and her best guy friends have stuck to that. But then she meets Adrian Silvas, the only one who’s ever made her crave more, and Ginny begins to question her own rules.

Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

I honestly wasn’t sure I’d like this book. It’s been on my TBR but was low on the list. It ended up getting picked for my book club and I loved it! I finished it in a few days. I definitely recommend!

Historia
Nora Stephens' life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby.

Read it! Listen to it! Buy the physical book! Download it! I was prepared to be disappointed, that this book wouldn’t live up to the hype. But I loved it so much!

Delilah Green swore she would never go back to Bright Falls—nothing is there for her but memories of a lonely childhood where she was little more than a burden to her cold and distant stepfamily. Her life is in New York, with her photography career finally gaining steam and her bed never empty. Sure, it’s a different woman every night, but that’s just fine with her.

Historia
If there’s one trait that makes someone well-suited to comedy, it’s being able to take a punch - metaphorically and, occasionally, physically. Told with a healthy dose of self-deprecation, A Very Punchable Face reveals the brilliant mind behind some of the dumbest sketches on television, and lays bare the heart and humor of a hardworking guy - with a face you can’t help but want to punch.

So like I said, the voice actor was amazing. Way to go Olivia Song!❤️
As for the book, While going through it I thought I liked it. But by at least halfway through I was like…no girl no! I suppose I can see why ppl like it. But it was personally triggering and frustrating for for. It seemed to give DA a free pass. I just don’t find it entertaining to no punishment for serious crimes. Been there in my own life so I’m not trying to celebrate it. 100% my opinion though.

Historia
In the era of screens and devices, the average American spends 90 percent of their time indoors, and children are no exception. Not only does this phenomenon have consequences for kids’ physical and mental health, it jeopardizes their ability to understand and engage with anything beyond the built environment. Thankfully, with the right mind-set, families can find beauty, meaning, and connection in a life lived outdoors. Here, outdoors expert Steven Rinella shares the parenting wisdom he has garnered as a father whose family has lived amid the biggest cities and wildest corners of America.

I honestly just couldn’t relate and I don’t think I got anything helpful from it. However I can see the appeal for other families. If you are super outdoorsy or want to become super outdoorsy….and I mean SUPER outdoorsy, then I’d recommend it.

Historia
Inspired by the spirit of Henry David Thoreau—"All good things are wild and free"—mother of five Ainsley Arment founded Wild + Free. This growing online community of mothers and families want their children to receive a quality education at home by challenging their intellectual abilities and nurturing their sense of curiosity, joy, and awe—the essence of a positive childhood. The homeschool approach of past generations is gone—including the stigma of socially awkward kids, conservative clothes, and a classroom setting replicated in the home.

Revisado: 10-10-21
I absolutely loved this book! I’m new to the world of homeschooling and this book along with the wild and free community has been incredibly helpful. I listen to the audio version which was narrated wonderfully and I also have this book in hardcover so I could make notes. There is so much information but I don’t feel like it is overwhelming. However I will probably go through the book again because I’m sure there are things that I missed considering I mostly had to listen to the book in the car with my kids in tow. I highly recommend this whether you are new to homeschooling or a seasoned homeschooler and needing a refresh and inspiration.
