Historia
In lyrical prose, Bradbury describes the decline of the mysterious and fragile Martian civilization, overwhelmed by the human newcomers. Bradbury reads these tales of common people - families, truck-stop owners, priests - who confront a new world with their human pride, fears, tenderness, and greed intact. And at the heart of each story lies the basic conflict between man's search for new frontiers and his irresistible urge for the comfort of the past.

Enjoyed it greatly!

I love this audiobook! It has been a very pleasant surprise to listen to Ray Bradbury share his thoughts about what he was thinking when he wrote the chronicles. He might not be the greatest performer, but he still conveys a lot of emotion into the characters and I found myself with my eyes gleaming with moisture, just as when I read the book for the first time.

I liked most of the selections in this Audio book, it makes for an entertaining listening. The problem is the sound quality of some of the poems, which is not very good.
