A truly incredible dark, fantasy romance. A lot of spice, very dark and love - exactly what you'd expect from the masterful Liv Zander. If you loved the Court of Ravens duology, you'll love this duet. And if you haven't had the pleasure of reading the Court of Ravens books and enjoyed The King of Blesh & Bone, you are REALLY in for a treat.

I was recommended this book from other readers of fantasy genre with a high spicy rating and I'm glad I gave it a chance.

There ARE some trigger warnings, so please check, but know I felt that it did make sense for the time period, added to the story and the author/characters dealt with the situation appropriately and did not make light a terrible situation.

As someone who doesn't really have a thing for pirates, I still very much enjoyed this book. The writing is beautiful. Narration was lovely. Worth the credit!

Excellent follow up to the first book. Wrapped up everything nicely. I felt the author delt well with the traumatic events the main characters went through. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Honestly wasn't sure what I was expecting at first since this was my first dark romance.
The beginning until about early middle of the book you might be like "what in the world..." and then, just something happens and you start to love the characters and become really invested in their storyline. Shocking ending, that's for sure! Really good book with excellent narrators. Started the second book immediately.

Why do I enjoy these books so much?

Kathryn Moon is obviously a wizard. she writes very spicy 😈 (some would say smutting) but they are deliciously spicy and yet, still incredibly sweet with an actual plot. Not as much sexy time as in Rooksgrave Manor, but still a decent amount.

I love how Kathryn Moon has the main group from the first book make an appearance in this book. Was like seeing old friends! Excited to start the next book.

Well Done Spice Fest

I love this book. I have no idea what that means about me, but whatever, this book is amazing. Spicy level is off the charts with an actual plot. I am thrilled I decided to give this book a try. Narrator was excellent too, with a variety of accents!
