This is what you get when you’re paid by the word
Revisado: 04-06-25
This entire book boils down to maybe 45 minutes of storyline and 28 hours of blah blah blah. You would think with the addition of another author there might be more storyline but seriously damn near 28 hours of nothing but fighting and ranking up I’m over it. While I have thoroughly enjoyed the mark of the fool series, I’m done with the ruin seeker.

OK to pass time not a real pot provoker though.

It has an OK storyline, the narration is a bit dramatic but I’ve heard worse, this is definitely not a series where I’m looking forward to book 2 if I really get desperate for something to listen to while driving cross country, I may give it a chance, but based on the first book nah I’ll keep looking for something more interesting.

Historia
This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book One of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

Revisado: 11-26-24
Since I got this on sale, I guess I can’t complain too much. But I’m over the testosterone driven could have been AI generated crap that audible is allowing to be put out . this book being a prime example. i’m sorry, but I canned ham could’ve shown more emotion than the main character in this book. I’m wondering if somehow one of the zombies was allowed creative license in this production because it sounds like one of them is reading monotone is being generous this narrator obviously never learned to emote emotion, fear, or danger. Save your money or credit whichever you use.

When an “author” loses their mojo, .05 stars
Revisado: 07-03-24
As gently as possible, Pirate Aba. What the hell happened? As a free online serial a continuous run on storyline may be fine, but when I’m paying it seems to be a money grab by yourself, and Audible.
Are you writing for dim preteens with the triple reiteration? Seriously I was skipping 3 minute chunks and still returning to the same character saying the same thing but using different words. Edit - it only gets worse the final witches battle takes 6 hours to get through. Now I’m sure Pirate Aba is incapable of finishing an storyline.
Do you have an editor? Or is audible paying by the word now. Seriously 4.5 minutes to say you were asleep for 51 days. Even Mrs Parsneau sounded board and frustrated with the run-on word diarrhea Edit - Andrea please never sing again, second book in a row, where you’ve proven it’s not your forte. As a narrator-chefs kiss, as a singer-nails on a chalkboard.
Finally does whatever computer program you use not allow you to finish a story line??? Sorry to say this will be the second book you’ve put out recently that I will be returning, and with that also unfollowing your feed because I’m done paying for the same old sameness. Edit- O.M.F.G. IF PIRATE ABA LIVES THERE LIFE LIKE THEY WRITE, THERE STILL WEARING THE SECOND PAIR OF UNDERWEAR THEY GOT AFTER POTTY TRAINING. Finish a frickin storyline already.

Historia
My whole life, I have been a prisoner. Starved. Beaten. Hated. But most of all, I am feared. I am feared because I am the most powerful woman in the world. Most want me dead. Some want to control my magic for their own dark desires. To others, I am salvation. A key to winning a war that has raged for 500 years between those who can use magic, and hunters, who dedicate their entire existence to killing anyone with magic in their blood. I am released from my chains and thrown into a world I am supposed to save. A world that has made me suffer beyond words. Magic must return. But should it?

I’m sorry but any main character this stupid needs to be killed off as soon as possible, if your looking for a weeping witch who’s all talk and no substance this is the book for you. Personally I was rooting for Lilly to die a quick and painful death so the real protagonist could arrive and save this underwritten/yet overdone p.o.s. Get me an editor asap.

All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world. Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

Same old angst and despair
Revisado: 05-06-24
I’ll be returning this as soon as I’m done with this review.
This is not a new series. Its a different character arc in THE WANDERING INN series
I’m over 5 hours in and nothing has happened worth note. This is a preexisting world - get on with it 5 very dull hours to get out of a cemetery?
Dear Pirate Aba, please finish a storyline before trying to start a new character arc. Or better yet if your getting boarded writing The Wandering Inn, maybe finish it. I’m seriously getting George RR Martin vibes here - long winded and unable to conclude anything or kill a cash-cow.
Andrea Parsneau while a great Narrator should NEVER sing again. Please just read the words and leave the singing to someone with pitch control ( or get a better sound editor). I actually found her warbling painful to listen to. Trying too add character emotion to a popular real world song just ruined the storyline and song at the same time.

This compilation is an exercise in frustration.
Revisado: 04-19-24
A good editor may have been able to save this dumpster fire. While I understand this was a compilation of books, there appears to have been no attempt to weed out repetitive content. By day 5 I was ready to kill off half of the cast of characters myself (as in your to stupid to live). Again I understand that this comes from another language & culture but GET AN EFFECTIVE EDITOR.

Revisado: 04-06-24
The story is ok for what it is. But IF YOU like liSTEning TO BAD sound enGENEERING, then you’ll love this one. It’s quite obvious where different recording sessions were cut together, and the constant fading in and out on the volume almost had me seasick. Sound Booth studios must have had an apprentice working the day this was produced.

Repetitive and Redundant
Revisado: 10-11-23
R,T,I, started out entertaining but has quickly become a rinse and repeat series.
First let me suggest Maberry find a ghost writer for the love/sex scenes his are absolutely horrid.
Second Repetition and reiteration to fill out chapters in an already redundant story line (where even a Great narrator is starting to sound board) is getting old.
Finally pick a genera, is this supposed to be Action, psychological thriller, or Science Fiction???
HonestlyCave 13 is coming through as an contractual obligation filler on the authors part.
Save your credit for something more deserving.

Absolutely no character progression.
Revisado: 07-16-23
I loved this series before the reset, honestly it feels like the last books are either a contractual obligation or an authors desperate attempt to stay relevant.
Rachel Morgan has to be the dimmest witch in the Hollows, there has been no growth or learning on her part in quite some time, if anything she has regressed in the last few books. To be honest since the reset this series has been nothing but rehashed blah, blah, blah. and after this one I think its time let it go.
Mrs Harrison (or ghost writer) seems to have gathered all her tropes in one place, reached into the pot picked three and ran with it. Seriously 1, a character turns against the others, 2. oops i screwed up and now I'm in trouble again. 3. lets kill off a main character but miraculously save him/her/it at the last minute.
