Historia
Sometimes you meet people who are out of this world, so you make them a part of yours. A one-night stand born from vengeance in a foreign land. An explosive chemistry neither of us could deny. We signed a contract on the back of a Boar’s Head Pub napkin that said if we ever met again, we would drop everything and be together. Eight years and thousands of miles later, he’s here. In New York. And he’s America’s music obsession.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success.

Dark and twisty
Revisado: 10-15-24
If you’re looking for some spooky vibes with some dark elements you should check this book out. I enjoyed it. There were definitely some points where I didn’t know how things were going to end up which is always nice to be taken by surprise.

Historia
Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It's somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn, but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour. So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn't fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she's kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She's given up hope of seeing him ever again.

So good
Revisado: 03-13-24
This book was great. I really enjoyed Remy and Tristan’s story. They start off hating one another for years and once given a bit of time to actually get to know eachother everything changes. I loved seeing the conflict of Tristan and Remy’s careers unfold as well. Tristan being a fighter full time and not having the stereotypical “normal” job and Remy having the “normal” job but really not loving it is so relatable. I thought both narrators did a fantastic job! I can’t wait to listen to book 2 when it comes to audio!!

This one lost me a little
Revisado: 03-12-24
This was a little bit slower than book 1. I still enjoyed it but found myself losing interest. I’m hoping book 3 picks back up pace wise. The ending was great though so it leads me to believe we will get more answers and excitement in book 3.

Historia
It all started with an unexpected phone call. Two years after my fiancé passed away in an accident, his father died suddenly, leaving Brad’s adult special-needs brother with no one to care for him. The next thing I knew, I was on a cross-country drive to New Hampshire where I’d be moving in to look after Scottie until I could get him into a group home. The last thing I ever expected? I wouldn’t be taking care of him alone.

Thoroughly enjoyed
Revisado: 02-29-24
This book was so good. I found myself cracking up more than a few times at Josh’s silliness. I love the fact that they discuss what it’s like caring for a person with autism while navigating their lives. The narration was top notch(which I have come to expect from Andi and Sebastian)! I know I can always count on a Penelope book to lift me up!
