Historia
For years, the monsters who killed my family have held me in a cage. Brutalized and half-starved. Only kept alive so they can steal my blood. Until one evening, when three eerily gorgeous men rescue me. They offer a safe haven under their protection with everything I need to heal. I'm not used to this kindness—or the desires their smoldering eyes and strong hands stir in my body and my heart. But these fearsome men aren't really men. Like my former captors, they're fae who can shift into wolves. A curse gripping the faerie realm turns them wild under the full moon.

I love the story and a different dynamic to relationships. It did move slow at times, but overall I loved the story and narration.

Book is good but narration made it hard to listen
Revisado: 08-29-23
The story is good, but I had a hard time getting past the narration. I never give bad notes on narrators, but I have some notes so that the narrator can hopefully improve his skills. It was like listening to a mixture between Chandler Bing and Captain Kirk. Every few words, while in narration mode, he would emphasize the word. He also would start a sentence at a normal pace and it would get faster as he would go. It’s almost like I was messing with the speed and would use a normal speed at the beginning of the sentence, then double time it in time to finish. He’d also take a huge pause after EVERY sentence, I don’t narrate for a living, but I have done narration on stage and I get that you have to be clear, but some people can’t understand when people talk fast. Now I will say he did a good job when he was doing dialogue. It wasn’t so sing songy, with weird word emphasis. The conversations were more casual, he did really well changing up the tones for each person. And honestly if he adopted the natural speed and tone he does for dialogue it would be 80% better.
I get that he’s trying to make narration different from dialogue, but it’s just too different and it seems like people prefer more of a casual approach. I’ll be looking for this narrator in the future and hope that he takes notes from all of the reviews, because if he does he’d be awesome. His dialogue really is good, he even does a passable female voice.
The story is good, I just really had a hard time focusing past the narration and I want to get lost in a book, I specifically sought out this author for another book because I love her work,

Life changing
Revisado: 06-19-23
This book has has a life changing message. Anyone that allows it and really takes it in it and applies what they’ve learned, even just a fraction of the message of this book, will definitely feel and start to see a change in their lives. For me it solidified what I already believed and gave me more information so that I know what and where I need my changes to be.
This book was given to me weeks before a family member passed away, my husbands sister and mother were in horrible accident and his sister passed away. I had already told him he should listen to it; but when she died I felt he needed to hear this message. Knowing that he loves audio books, but not physically reading I purchased the book on here for him. He is now listening to it for the second time and I also listened to it after reading it, because I knew I would get even more from it the second time. Plus hearing it from the voice of the person that it happened to gives it something extra special. Immediately my husband started making some changes, changes after many years of marriage I though wouldn’t change. Not personality traits, just how he looks at and treats others and sees situations (he’s a wonderful man, just never really tried to sees where others were coming from). And it’s given him peace, it has with me as well. He has now lost 2 sisters, a father, a brother, a nephew and our 2 daughters; also grandparents of course. My biggest loss was our daughter, I’ve lost others, but my daughters deaths are with me daily. And it gives me a great amount of peace now hearing from someone who’s been there that my beliefs were at least close.
If you don’t believe similarly or have a different belief system all together that’s not the point of this book and he’s never t try to convert or convince anyone. He’s not trying to a hove his beliefs down your throat. He is a giving insight and 10 principles that you can live by. These are things that you’d think was an obvious given, but they all do take some work and you have to make an effort.
It is definitely worth the time to read it. Even if you just read it and do nothing else with it, it’s an enjoyable read and it kept me and my husband interested until the last word. I love Vincent Tolman narration and loved the message even more. Plus the story of what he has been through it’s riveting and inspiring.

Imagine a 1980s world of sumptuous hotel rooms, restaurants, New York City penthouses, and the powerful men who move easily between these pinnacles of luxury. They are music producers, rock stars, writers, and restaurateurs. They are household names like Billy Joel, Art Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, and Sting. And yet, each man has an entire aspect to his life that he doesn’t talk about publicly—his depression, his rocky marriage, his feelings of shame and failure, his private loss of faith. And now: The phone rings. Imagine the woman who has each of these men at her beck and call.

Captivated my attention the whole way through
Revisado: 05-01-22
From just reading the description It didn't seem like it was my kind read or listen, but from less than a minute in I was completely captivated.
The story is basically a "catfish" story, but in a time where it video messaging and FaceTime didn't exist. The amount of people she was able to⁵ much more difficult now, since many of these men where A-listers during that time period.
Very good listen. I enjoyed it and finished it all in one sitting.

I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

fun and entertaining
Revisado: 04-01-22
I really enjoyed this. It reminded me of the old radio shows they used to have a while ago, the kind my great grandmother used to tell me about. The whole family would gather around the radio and listen to the radio altogether.
The story was different and characters were fun. the narrator's are amazing as always, especially with the main characters and really brought the characters and story to life. I thoroughly enjoyed it and actually listened to it while driving to CA for my vacation and it made the long drive that much more enjoyable.

As good as the rest of the series
Revisado: 02-02-22
I enjoyed all aspects of the book. This series is great. I love that each book has intelligent women with great support group of friends and those friends are in each of the books, so we get to get a glimpse as to how the characters from past books are doing and how their lives and stories are still developing. They all follow a similar pattern, but don't give up all of the details until later, that keeps me captivated. The writers humor is really appreciated, I love when a book can make me laugh and it does at some points. What I liked about this book is that he is quietly pining for her, it could have been done without the stalker vibe though. I feel that was barely recognized by her and didn't bother her enough. I get that she is falling for him, but that's never OK.
There are some points where some may get triggered, but they don't go too much into detail, so for me it was OK, but everyone is different and it makes sense for the characters story.
I appreciate that both main characters are very smart and very different, which can cause misunderstanding. I personally like when conflicts are settled quickly in books and while some were, others really are drawn out throughout the whole book, almost.
The narrator's are great, they are both very talented (I've had the pleasure of listening to. many of their books) and they both really bring the characters to life in a realistic way and I love that.
Overall you can't go wrong with this series, especially if you like this genre, paired with witty writing and great narratation.

Beautiful
Revisado: 01-16-19
This is a beautiful and at times heartbreaking story. It’s is also one of the most realistic love stories I’ve read in a long time.
I know some people with PTSD and it’s a harsh look, but I love that this is a love conquers all, with hard work, time and patience, story.
Love the narrators, both of them and enjoy all that they put into the books that they read.

Hilarious, loved the story too
Revisado: 01-09-19
The story was good. I liked that it was different and not the same old love story. It was a fun plot, I liked most of the Characters. What made it really different though was how funny the family is, the main characters, well the book in general really. I listened to it on my phone with my earbuds while my family and I were on a road trip, in all one sitting. I laughed out loud so many times, my family thought I was going a bit crazy. I laughed so hard that my eyes would tear up, and in reaction to my laughing my family would start to laugh.
Let me just preface by saying I don’t ever laugh out loud while listening to books. Even when listening to comedy I might give a quick giggle, but that’s it. I laughed so loud and hard that my stomach and cheeks hurt.
Maybe it’s because I have a sick sense of humor like the characters in this book but I fully enjoyed it.
Except for Marco’s narration, the narrator was good. She has great timing and for some men you could kind of tell they were men, not really well though. But there would be chapters when I thought the main female character was talking and it was Marco. She does not do male voices well, but with better editing that shouldn’t be a problem. Otherwise I loved it. The males sounding like females just through me off. Maybe it would have helped if before the chapter began they said who’d be talking or giving their POV, like in some other books, that may have helped.

Falling in love wasn't the plan. But how could I resist his promises of hope? Of forgiveness? Of a future I had stopped dreaming of? We were shattered. We were scarred. We were something strange and beautiful. We were two lost souls holding on to the only thing that could keep us together. Each other.

So Good
Revisado: 09-23-18
This book is so well written that every emotion you can have is fully captured and even overwhelming at times. My heart hurt for the Aria and Levi, but when they found each other and let this realistic relationship grow I felt so hopeful for them. One moment I had tears falling down my face from the shear sadness, the next my eyes were pooling with tears because my heart was full and hopefully. There were plenty of times that I was disgusted and enraged, mostly due to how the parents treated their children, but at least you get some answers as to why. Even though I knew and understood it still makes your heart break for those characters, all of them really. I really enjoy how realistic this story is and all of the issues are topics that come up in a lot of families.
I’m satisfied with the way it ended, of course I want to know more. There is much more about the story I want to say, but would hate to ruin it. It is beautifully written, I enjoyed every minute. The narration was really good, although the female can work on her southern accent and making sure each character sound different. The male was perfect.
Overall one of the better books I’ve read or heard in a while.

My name is Charlotte, and I have a special gift: I talk to the dead. Make no mistake, I can't summon them. I'm able only to see and speak to the spirits that linger when they're unable to cross over. They're somehow weighted to the world with unfinished affairs. And for the last six years, I've relentlessly used my gift to help their lost souls. But it's come at a price. My life is dark. Feeling despondent, I've begun to give up. And in helping the dead, I've realized I haven't allowed myself to live.

Fully thought out and beautifully written
Revisado: 06-16-18
This story takes you through every emotion and I enjoyed every moment. I like all the characters, they were all so beautifully flawed. It was heartbreaking, yet filled me with hope at the same time. I rooted for the characters, even the ones that seemed horrible in the beginning...except her parents (there’s no excuse to turn your back on your child and not support them, although in their way they thought they were doing what was best for her, but it pissed me off).
It put a sad but wonderful spin on the love triangle. I was devastated at parts, but also overjoyed at others.
I fully enjoyed the narration. They both did an awesome job with their characters.
I love this book, it’s not like any other book I’ve read and it’s beautifully written.
