Historia
A fascinating exploration of the science of the impossible - from death rays and force fields to invisibility cloaks - revealing to what extent such technologies might be achievable decades or millennia into the future. 100 years ago, scientists would have said that lasers, televisions, and the atomic bomb were beyond the realm of physical possibility.

Historia
Border Roads Organization is responsible for building roads in Himalaya at huge heights, where no other country perhaps can build roads. The high altitude at such places is always challenging and tiring for machines as well as for humans. Low oxygen level, below zero temperature, eccentric nature, colossal snow piles on roads, and unpredictable landslides are few factors that affect human lives in such areas.

Good Coverage of subject, Reading was monotonous
Revisado: 01-21-17
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
1) Bring some emotions in reading. It should be done like story telling. This will keep listeners attached to the subject.
2) The subject has good coverage, but it is biased only towards computers, internet, electronics etc. It does not talk about inevitable technologies in aerospace, automotive, defense, robotics, 3-D Printing etc.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Looking for some good books on human mind.
What didn’t you like about George Newbern’s performance?
Reading was too fast and monotonous. Need to bring in emotions into it.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Yes, Off Course. I like the way author has simplified this complex subject and structured this book with simple words. I like virtual and augmented reality sections also.
Any additional comments?
Improve presentation and broaden coverage.

Read by the actor Feodor Chin. Recording memories, mind reading, videotaping our dreams, mind control, avatars, and telekinesis - no longer are these feats of the mind solely the province of overheated science fiction. As Michio Kaku reveals, not only are they possible, but with the latest advances in brain science and recent astonishing breakthroughs in technology, they already exist.

Good Book....worth listening
Revisado: 01-21-17
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The start of the book is too good and it explained the background of the subject, evolution of human mind and wonderful theories of the mind very well, however, there is too much physics blended into the subject. Many times, you feel, as if you are listening a physics book. I think, author can bring in more about details and explanation of sub conscious mind, hypnotism etc.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I was satisfied but End was too much physics.
What aspect of Feodor Chin’s performance would you have changed?
Everything was fine.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes
