Why does it in so weird?
Revisado: 03-08-22
The book was great and I enjoyed it but why does it simply end without saying the signature audible line at the end? I sort of felt like maybe it wasn’t really the end of the book but that it just got cut off lol

Completely engrossed in this story!
Revisado: 02-11-21
Once again Kristen delivers a beautiful CANT STOP LISTENING story! My all-time favorite author! There’s a reason why I’ve read every single book she’s ever written that can be bought. This story resonates with me because I’m actually from the area she’s talking about. I laughed and cried and got excited as I do with all her beautifully written stories. The details are so intense and had me on the edge of my seat once again. This book is a must! The narrator was absolutely incredible also I’ll my gosh thank you so much I hate that I have to wait another few years to read another book from you Kristen!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! SOOO GOOD!!!
Revisado: 04-15-18
This was a wonderful story! I absolutely got lost in it and did not want to turn it off. It takes place in the Victorian era when women were supposed to fit into a mold and didn't have many rights. This is somewhat of a Cinderella story and the women in this tale did not fit into a mold. They were strong and had ideas of their own. Sent on a treasure hunt to find out the secret her best friend has hidden from everyone but her, she travels to places she has never been, meeting wonderful people along the way and paving the way for her to finally be free. The narrator was awesome. I really loved this story very much.

Historia
You went to bed at home, just like every other night. You woke up in the back of a taxi, over 250 miles away. You have no idea how you got there and no memory of the last 10 hours. You have no phone, no money, just a suicide note in your coat pocket, in your own writing. You know you weren't planning to kill yourself. Your family and friends think you are lying. Someone knows exactly what happened to you. But they're not telling....

Story was long I struggled through it. Completely unbelievable and the twist at the end was just ridiculous. The British lady reading was the best part about this book.

Loved It!!!
Revisado: 03-24-18
I was searching for a story that would keep my interest and I found it. Love the characters, First book in a while that I absolutely didn't want to shut off. It's the first book I've ever read by this author and I like him. I will be checking out some other stuff from him. I was in my office at work listening and the other girls were laughing at me for listening to a book. Well I ignored them and about 20 minutes later they were all intently listening too! lol They made me promise to tell them what happened ha!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Kristen Hannah!
Revisado: 02-18-18
Kristen Hannah is my all time favorite author. I have read every book of hers. I preordered this book months ago and have been unpatiently waiting for her next book. I was not disappointed. This book had some common themes appearing in a lot of her books. As always her discriptions of events make everything feel so real and emotional. This book wrenched my heart in every direction. I will admit I cried. If you have only read the nightingale or this book by her, I highly recommend you read some others like firefly lane or between sisters. They are very different from her last two books and equally as amazing. It's the first book I've listened to of hers and wow the narrator was great! I'm sad the story ended and now I have to wait another year or two to hear from her again.

It took me a second try to get into this audio book. The first go around I couldn't wrap my head around what this book was about. I started over and had to concentrate the get into this story line, but once I was a few chapters in....OMG. What a crazy story. I absolutely loved this book and hated for it to end. This writer has an amazing imagination. Time travel, distant lands. multiple lives. etc... The narrator makes this book perfection. Absolute love love love!
