Historia
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

Get your tissues ready. This book is so much more than I thought I was getting in to! You will be angry, sad, doubting humanity. Mental Health struggles, Family love and support, The loss of a child…it’s so full of emotions.

Historia
Eva never really wanted to be a mother - and certainly not the mother of a boy who ends up murdering seven of his fellow high school students, a cafeteria worker, and a much-adored teacher who tried to befriend him, all two days before his 16th birthday. Now, two years later, it is time for her to come to terms with marriage, career, family, parenthood, and Kevin’s horrific rampage, in a series of startlingly direct correspondences with her estranged husband, Franklin.

Not for the feint of heart
Revisado: 06-25-21
This story is heart wrenching. The context is dark. You cannot determine with certainty where the blame, if there is to be any innocents, should lie. It has to be finished to fully understand but in the first half you will not like these people and by the end you may instead be simply saddened by how human and flawed they all are. Do I recommend listening? Definitely.

For generations the Connelly witches made a great sacrifice to protect their town. In exchange, New Mourne remained a refuge for humans and supernatural beings to live in peace. Now Brenna Connelly Burns, or another chosen female of this generation, is next in line to die unless Brenna can find a way to end the curse of the malevolent Woman in White. Witches, demons, shifters, spirits, fae, preachers & scholars...All come together in this one. I read the synopsis and wasn’t sure at first but this is more of a family of witches in turmoil coming together to protect one another and their hometown with a hint of romance thrown in. Enjoyed the read better on Audible than in my kindle as there are some typos in the digital copy that distracted me.
