Revisado: 06-14-19
I recently finished the third book in the trilogy. I fell in love with the story and Ken Follett's amazingly talented storytelling. I LEARNED MORE ABOUT WORLD HISTORY FROM THIS TRILOGY THAN DURING 20 YEARS OF SCHOOLING...In a way that entertaind me and taught me at the same time. Highly recommended!

Historia
One of the most acclaimed novels in recent memory, Charles Frazier's Cold Mountain is a masterpiece that is at once an enthralling adventure, a stirring love story, and a luminous evocation of a vanished American in all its savagery, solitude, and splendor.

Fantastic movie, Tereibly boring book!
Revisado: 06-14-19
Love the movie, so I decided to get the book. In my opinion, the book is ideal for literature class, but not for entertainment purposes. I am 6 hours through and on the train today I finally gave up - after realizing I had just listened to a 5 minute description of a bird. Although romance is the main theme of the movie, there is virtually no romance in the book. It's a terribly long winded story of the main characters' separate journeys. To say that the screenplay writers took creative liberty is an understatement.
