Historia
This volume of short essays and other pieces by C. S. Lewis is part of a larger collection, C. S.Lewis: Essay Collection and Other Short Pieces. In addition to his many books, letters, and poems, C. S. Lewis wrote a great number of essays and shorter pieces on various subjects. He wrote extensively on Christian theology and the defense of faith but also on ethical issues and the nature of literature and storytelling. This audiobook is a treasure trove of Lewis' reflections on diverse topics.

All around good.
Revisado: 08-05-21
It is a compilation of papers written by Lewis. Although all of them contain his philosophical grandeur not all are as equally profound. All in all I would say it is a four star rating in that you receive the great with not so great.

Historia
Until very recently, no society had seen marriage as anything other than a conjugal partnership: a male-female union. What Is Marriage? identifies and defends the reasons for this historic consensus and shows why redefining civil marriage as something other than the conjugal union of husband and wife is a mistake. Originally published in the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, this book’s core argument quickly became the year’s most widely read essay on the most prominent scholarly network in the social sciences.

Non religious appeal to the preservation of the definition of marriage
Revisado: 07-20-21
Brilliant book that introduces thought to the idea the marriage is not a distinctly religious institution and therefore can have a defense outside of religious claims. It is not homophobic or bigoted in nature and merely serves to explain the reasoning behind society and culture’s benefit from maintaining the man and woman marriage construct. It is a defense of the definition of marriage, not on what two (or more) consenting adults do amongst themselves.

Historia
Intolerance is a beautiful thing...when you understand it from God's point of view. There is a spiritual struggle for the hearts and minds of our young people. Cultural tolerance is pervasive in today's world. It seems to show up everywhere - in education, government, society...even within the church.

A Christ-like approach to culture
Revisado: 07-16-21
The author does an exceptional job of balancing the love that God has for ALL people while still remaining firm on objective, biblical truth. As one who desires to meet the culture, especially the youth and those who feel isolated or misunderstood, this book is a wonderful resource in understanding how to approach such topics as sexual intercourse outside of marriage, homosexuality, and others! Highly recommended for both unbelievers and believers alike.
