Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Totally recommend this book. Zombie storyline... with a twist or two! Characters are believable, and you want to continue following their story after this book is over.

What other book might you compare Onslaught to and why?

The zombie genre is typical across the board (or books, rather). But if you love 'em, you love them! I do, and I found this one's zombie origin theory really unique.

Have you listened to any of Eric A. Shelman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've read his books, but this is the first narration I've heard. Absolutely perfect! Easy to listen to voice, and love a narrator who changes "voices" for the characters. Spot on performance!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were a couple of really great moments...nope, not going to explain them - read the book!

Any additional comments?

Outstanding book, and I'm looking forward to reading more of Mr. Novak's work

What did you love best about Lycan Fallout 2: Fall of Man?

Any story traveled by Michael Talbot is a journey worth taking.

What other book might you compare Lycan Fallout 2: Fall of Man to and why?

Well, of course, since it follows Lycan Fallout 1, that's what you'd compare it to. Lycan Fallout 2 continues the story.

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Sean Runnette is a vocal genius. Period.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

All of Mark Tufo's books make laugh, cry, gasp, and occasionally sicken your stomach. What a storyteller!

Where does United States of Apocalypse rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty much anything by Mark Tufo and read by Sean Runnette rates at the top of any of my lists. Add in a new heroine by Armand Rosamilia and what's not to love?

Who was your favorite character and why?

Darlene, new to me, was a terrific character - gotta love a strong female character!

Which character – as performed by Sean Runnette and Julia Whelan – was your favorite?

Michael, of course!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Two heros, a f***ed -up world - what could go wrong??

If you could sum up The Enemy Held Near in three words, what would they be?

Modern ghost story

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Enemy Held Near?

When the wife "meets" the family

What about Jack Wallen, Jr.’s performance did you like?

Easy to identify each character

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Who do YOU hold near?

Any additional comments?

Is the house haunted? Can an apparition kill? Can the misery of your past force you to see what, and who, is not really there? And what is it about Uncle Duke’s cigar??
The Enemy Held Near is a compelling modern ghost story that follows the Turners, a fatally flawed family as they fight against their world – the real, and the not so real.
Co-authored by Armand Rosamilia and Jay Wilburn, the novel was fun, and scary, and thought-provoking. When reading a co-authored book, I often try to guess who wrote which part, but in The Enemy Held Near, I found it almost impossible to distinguish the authors from each other. A testament, I think, to the professionalism of both Rosamilia and Wilburn.
The narrator’s soft-spoken narration added to the creep factor of the listen, and I’ll look forward to more from both the authors and the narrator.
