Nice, gentle and magical story. You can read this separate, but I think it's really meant to be in the series.
There's a third book coming, so I will continue to follow the adventures of Zaria and her friends.
The books are a nice read also for grown ups who don't want (a lot) of blood and gore. The setting in Norway is great, it brings back childhood memories - my parents were in Norway for work, and we had a lot of going back holidays.
I was kindly given a free copy of this book by Keira.

At first she’s surprised and curious, but then Olaf threatens to eat her, which is an act Zaria could not in good conscience consent to, so Zaria counteroffers. A deal is struck and she goes to school, but Zaria is about to learn the hard way that one does not trick a river-troll and expect to win.

Nice gentle, magical adventure

Really likable characters, magic, tension, myths from the past combined with modern day society, and the adventures are never really gruesome.
The reading by Michele Carpenter adds to the story.
I liked this a lot and I have immediately started the next book in the series.
