Historia
I found the journal at work. Well, I don't know if you'd call it work, but that's where I found it. It's the lost journal of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors and visionaries ever. Before he died in 1943, he kept a notebook filled with spectacular claims and outrageous plans.

Written for ADHD teenage readers ...
Revisado: 07-23-15
What would have made Where the Hell is Tesla? better?
Less juvenile humor perhaps
Has Where the Hell is Tesla? turned you off from other books in this genre?
no
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I liked that it is the actual author who is narrating.
Any additional comments?
I understand it is kind of a spoof or something, but I didn't feel it was meant to be read by readers older than 19

Historia
The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

Good Sci-fi .... Amazing narrator!!!
Revisado: 07-23-15
What did you love best about The Fold?
Not your average predictable sci-fi novel... Story holds, science is interesting and the characters are alive.
Ray Porter is perhaps the most impressive narrator I have come across.

Historia
At once elegant and riveting, Sync tells the story of the dawn of a new science. Steven Strogatz, a leading mathematician in the fields of chaos and complexity theory, explains how enormous systems can synchronize themselves, from the electrons in a superconductor to the pacemaker cells in our hearts. He shows that although these phenomena might seem unrelated on the surface, at a deeper level there is a connection, forged by the unifying power of mathematics.

Headline much more interesting than content

What disappointed you about Sync?
"How Order Emerges from Chaos in the Universe, Nature, and Daily Life" .. wow now that should be really interesting I thought to myself upon reading the title... Well, I kept yawning my way throughout the first three chapters more than an hour later..
As I was unable to continue, my review may not be fair as I haven't listened to the whole book.. I just could not..
Would you ever listen to anything by Steven Strogatz again?
No, even at 1.25x speed...

Disappointed...
Revisado: 06-06-10
I bought this one because the idea sounded quite interesting ... It wasn't ... Most ideas just did not make sense and were completely out of context (remotely related to the topic).
Better read the works of the philsophers themselves and make the connection yourself..
