Historia
In an elegant apartment in Paris, forensic expert Enzo Macleod, now 56 years old, pores over the scant evidence of the sixth and final cold case he has been challenged to solve. The most obvious suspect is Régis Blanc, a former pimp already imprisoned for the murders of three sex workers, who may have been Lucie's lover in the months before her disappearance.

A roller coaster ride with my man, Enzo!
Revisado: 12-12-23
I’ve loved everything about Enzo and his extended family throughout this series.
I’m a swimming pool listener, so thankfully, it’s taken a while to go through the Enzo books in South Florida in short exercise sessions. Peter Forbes is a super reader and Peter May has created a world I can happily swim in. Together they have kept me in the pool with aerobics till I’ve built up muscles!
This last Enzo book is super.
We know the people — but if you didn’t before, you’ll get the gist— It’s amazingly complex, but so well written that I didn’t lose track. One plot twist after another.
I’ve heard people call books roller coaster rides— jump on now—this one snaps your neck!
I am happy to see Mr. May has a new Enzo book out, because I kept stopping short of finishing the book, sad I’d lose my chums.
The plots of all the books are tricky, and May’s description of places is a strong suit, but to me, his insight into the motivation and purpose for all his unique characters has only gotten better in this book.
No one dreams up better characters than Peter May!
You are in for a great ride with this series! Thank You!

Historia
When Fin Macleod catches up with elusive poacher and former childhood friend Whistler Macaskill, the two witness a freak natural phenomenon - a bog burst - that drains a loch of all its water in a flash, revealing a mud-encased light aircraft with a sickeningly familiar moniker on its side. Both men immediately know what they will find inside: the body of Roddy Mackenzie, a friend whose flight disappeared more than 17 years earlier. But when Whistler's face appears to register something other than shock, an icy chill of apprehension overtakes Fin.

Sad it's over.

I was entranced with Mr.May's trilogy, and this last book was full of great twists and turns .
The presentation was well done and the effective characterizations will stick with me like old friends.
Thank You.
