Historia
Julian Jackson has a short to-do list for his senior year at Crenshaw County High School in Meridien, Texas: football, football, and more football. He knows he's only got one chance to earn a college scholarship and make it out of his small town, and keeping his head down, his grades up, and his cleats on the field is that one chance. And then Elijah Vance walks back into his life, throwing all of his carefully-laid plans into a tailspin.

A slow burn
Revisado: 03-09-25
Did I like the story? It was okay. Would I read it again? No. There was more time spent on back story than actual real worth while story telling. If you’re looking for anything more than 2 kisses you’re not in luck and that’s the approximate amount btw.

Historia
On the verge of summer before his senior year, Jay is a soft soul in a world of concrete. While his older brother is everything people expect a man to be—tough, athletic, and in charge—Jay simply blends into the background to everyone, except when it comes to Leroy. Unsure of what he could have possibly done to catch the eye of the boy who could easily have anyone he wants, Jay isn’t about to ignore the surprising but welcome attention.

Waiting for part two!
Revisado: 02-22-24
The story is beautifully written, and the pacing is good. The only thing that I was disappointed in or felt was underwhelming, was the true love story behind it all it seemed like it was more focused on the gang aspect of the story, and I lost the romance in the beginning.

Sunnydale Reborn.
Revisado: 10-15-23
So watching Buffy all these years over and over I was ready to see what they would come up with to reinvigorate the story. It gave me goosebumps at some points because it reminded me of Buffy in some instances. I know it can't be the same as it was but it wasn't bad at all for a story taking place in the universe. If you're a Buffy fan don't judge it too harshly enjoy it for what it is!

Historia
There’s one thing Jay Collier knows for sure - he’s a statistical anomaly as the only out gay kid in his small rural Washington town. While all his friends can’t stop talking about their heterosexual hookups and relationships, Jay can only dream of his own firsts, compiling a romance to-do list of all the things he hopes to one day experience - his Gay Agenda. Then, against all odds, Jay’s family moves to Seattle, and he starts his senior year at a new high school with a thriving LGBTQIA+ community. For the first time ever, Jay feels like he’s found where he truly belongs.

Jay is toxic AF lol
Revisado: 06-22-21
I enjoyed the story I DID but the main character was annoying me the whole time with his stupid decisions. I know he is young and was following what he was being taught but have a little common sense when someone on your life is that willing. I’m not trying to give anything away but yeah. Oh and the only thing that kind of annoyed me (no spoiler don’t worry) is him repeating that damn list of I heard that one more time I was gonna scream!

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Randy Kapplehoff loves spending the summer at Camp Outland, a camp for queer teens. It's where he met his best friends. It's where he takes to the stage in the big musical. And it's where he fell for Hudson Aaronson-Lim - who's only into straight-acting guys and barely knows not-at-all-straight-acting Randy even exists. This year, however, it's going to be different. Randy has reinvented himself as "Del" - buff, masculine, and on the market. Even if it means giving up show tunes, nail polish, and his unicorn bedsheets, he's determined to get Hudson to fall for him.

Love it!
Revisado: 12-07-20
I didn’t know what to expect when I purchased this book but I absolutely love it! I have nothing negative to say about this book. I love a story that has a beginning middle and end and doesn’t leave me in suspense or confused. I’m happy I decided to read this! I need more stories like this.

Historia
My name is Connor Williams, and people say I’m crazy. But that’s not who I am. They also think I’m straight, mean, and dangerous. But that’s not who I am either. The stories people tell—all those legends they whisper at school—they don’t mean a thing. Only my mother and younger brother matter to me.

Loved it!
Revisado: 11-21-20
I’ve purchased a lot of Jay bell’s books on audible and I have to say This one is one of my favorites if not my favorite one. I don’t get the criticism of the crime(s) that others referred to it’s not glorifying anything unnecessary so i don’t see why people were so upset. It’s a BOOK. Anyways like I said I enjoyed it.

Historia
Merlon Hilton, who everyone affectionately called Junior, grew up in a home that most would envy. He along with his two siblings Aimee and Jonah enjoyed a charmed life which stemmed from the fruits of their parents' hard labor. Junior has always been on the softer side and knew early on that he was…different. Even as a child, Junior realized that he lusted after male classmates; well, one in particular.

Now what I expected and not in a good way.
Revisado: 11-17-20
This wasn’t a “gay love story” but a bisexual coming of age drama with gay undertones.there was also more detail in the straight sex scenes than the 3 gay scenes but that was probably because it was written by a woman so that explains that much. I understand the author was trying to write something different but to write a story in which you have more plots with the secondary characters than the actual main character himself is not a “gay love story”. You can’t have them possibly express affection through the whole book and slap on a happy ending at the end and call it love. it also seemed rushed and I couldn’t place how long time had actually passed with certain events and in one part of the book it read off a future chapter in the middle of the story which Threw me completely off. I hate to really talk negatively about any book by any author but this was not pleasing at all. If you’re gonna make a book about a gay person research and have conversations with gay people and not assume that we just dive in and out of homosexuality whenever we see fit like it’s a choice because it’s not.
