Historia
Beck is everything Joe has ever wanted: she's gorgeous, tough, razor-smart, and sexy beyond his wildest dreams. Joe needs to have her, and he'll stop at nothing to do so. As he begins to insinuate himself into her life - her friendships, her email, her phone - she can’t resist her feelings for a guy who seems custom-made for her. So when her boyfriend, Benji, mysteriously disappears, Beck and Joe fall into a tumultuous affair. But there's more to Beck than her oh-so-perfect façade.

You
Revisado: 05-31-24
I only purchased this because the first season of the Netflix series “You” was based on this book. In my opinion, the first and second seasons were the only watchable ones. But like most people, I watched the subsequent seasons (it’s like a car accident, you can’t help yourself). This is one of the few cases where the movie or series is better than the book (Gone Girl is another that immediately comes to mind). It’s sexist, beyond obscene and slooowwwww. I don’t really need to know every disgusting thought that pops into this psycho's head spoken aloud. At least in the series, Joe was an extremely likable and funny psychopath (probably due to Penn Badgley’s interpretation of the character). In the book, he is neither. By the second chapter you are praying he jumps off the Brooklyn Bridge. Don’t waste a credit.

Historia
It is an ordinary Thursday, and things should finally be returning to normal. Except trouble is never far away where the Thursday Murder Club are concerned. A decade-old cold case—their favorite kind--leads them to a local news legend and a murder with no body and no answers. Then a new foe pays Elizabeth a visit. Her mission? Kill or be killed. Suddenly the cold case has become red hot.

The whispering…
Revisado: 05-31-24
…is like fingernails on a chalkboard. I’m so annoyed and distracted by it, that I’m not sure if I don’t like the story or just the fact that the narrator is positively awful. And she is narrating the next two as well. I will not be purchasing them as audio books. I have read so many negative reviews regarding her whispering and overall lack of narration skills, that I’m surprised she’s back. At any rate, I will buy the ebook version of this title because I can’t listen to it anymore.

Historia
Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim—the Thursday Murder Club—are still riding high off their recent real-life murder case and are looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet at Cooper’s Chase, their posh retirement village. But they are out of luck. An unexpected visitor—an old pal of Elizabeth’s (or perhaps more than just a pal?)—arrives, desperate for her help. He has been accused of stealing diamonds worth millions from the wrong men and he’s seriously on the lam.

Excellent story & on point narration
Revisado: 05-31-24
I read the first book, but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the second one of the series. The narrator was excellent and kept you wanting more! I’m hoping book 3 lives up to my expectations!

My favorite DeMille
Revisado: 06-07-19
This book is so gripping that you cannot stop listening to it. I have read the book at least 4 times & my paperback is worn to a frazzle. I will never forget Flight 800, as it happened right in my backyard. One of my best friends was a ticket agent for TWA at the time & she boarded every passenger on that flight. And the 9/11 tragedy is where so many NYPD & FDNY, that I knew personally lost their lives. So my personal attachment to these two world altering events is enormous. Nelson is my favorite author & no one can tell a story like him! And Scott Brick’s narration is superb.
