Historia
His younger brother will be greater than he . . . With those words, Menashe's dreams collapse. As Yosef's eldest son, his position had seemed secure. But now Efrayim—bold, charming Efrayim, who's everything Menashe is not—is taking his place. With their people. With the pharaoh. With Jendayi, the slave Menashe loves. Efrayim, meanwhile, sees his dreams confirmed. Surely it's his destiny to unite the Egyptians and Hebrews. To marry a princess and achieve splendor surpassing that of his brother.

I love the way Angela Hunt mixes scripture with historical evidence. Her research is very much appreciated.

Historia
In the land of Pharaoh, Tuya has always been a slave. As a little girl, she was sold as a playmate to a wealthy child who became her best friend. But as she approaches womanhood, beautiful Tuya is betrayed and cast out. Now she belongs to Potiphar, captain of Pharaoh's guard. Historical accuracy
Revisado: 11-18-23
I love the way Angela researches historical facts and mingles them in with Bible stories without changing the message.

Historia
It is a perfect July morning, and Elle, a 50-year-old happily married mother of three, awakens at “The Paper Palace” - the family summer place she has visited every summer of her life. But this morning is different: Last night, Elle and her oldest friend, Jonas, crept out the back door into the darkness and had sex with each other for the first time, all while their spouses chatted away inside. Now, Elle will have to decide between the life she has made with her genuinely beloved husband and the life she always imagined she would have had with her childhood love.

I couldn’t get past chapter 2. It was too crude and had to return the book.

Historia
Texas, 1921. A time of abundance. The Great War is over, the bounty of the land is plentiful, and America is on the brink of a new and optimistic era. But for Elsa Wolcott, deemed too old to marry in a time when marriage is a woman’s only option, the future seems bleak. Until the night she meets Rafe Martinelli. By 1934, the world has changed; millions are out of work and drought has devastated the Great Plains. Elsa must make an agonizing choice: fight for the land she loves or leave it behind and go west, to California, in search of a better life for her family.

Bad Ending
Revisado: 05-12-19
I was thoroughly enjoying the book until the last chapter. The ending was so bad, I didn’t realize it was over. I was waiting for the next chapter when I heard the audio book closing. I thought “Is this it? I spent all those hours and that’s the way it ends!” I didn't realize it was the 1st in a series. Don't know if I want to continue with the next book or move on to another book.
As for the performance, he did an excellent job especially with accents. I just think it’s hard for any man to do a woman’s voice. It would’ve been better if they had two performers so a man could do the men and a woman could do the women voices.
