Predictable, irritating
Revisado: 04-09-13
What would have made Fifty Shades Freed better?
If it was ONE book instead of drawn out to three
Has Fifty Shades Freed turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
What three words best describe Becca Battoe’s performance?
Understandable, and good inflections
Any additional comments?
This set of books to me, was whiny and monotonous and not very well written. Could have put everything in to one book instead of stretching it out and making it boring. This set of books ticked me off more than inspired me. By the third book you just knew how the characters were going to react and what they were going to say. AND I found myself saying "NOT fair" a lot and rolling my eyes. I don't think I would recommend this book to anyone.

Wow, life changing!
Revisado: 07-11-12
What made the experience of listening to Eat, Pray, Love the most enjoyable?
The narrators voice, she sounds like Kathy Lee Gifford!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Of course the main character
What does Elizabeth Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
A flow, she wrote the book, she knows how it sounded in her head when she wrote it. It makes the story more believable.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes!
Any additional comments?
This book has officially knocked "The Devil Wears Prada" off the top of my favs list! Another one I'll listen to more than once.

Historia
There would have been no KISS without Gene Simmons, the outrageous star whose superlong tongue, legendary sexual exploits, and demonic makeup have made him a rock icon. KISS and Make-Up is the wild, shocking, unbelievable story, from the man himself, about how an immigrant boy from Israel studied to be a rabbi, was saved by rock and roll, and became one of the most notorious rock stars the world has ever seen.

Give it a miss
Revisado: 12-28-09
Because I know how hard Gene Simmons worked to gain the fame he has, I was interested in hearing the progression the band took. I found Gene's voice to be irritatingly monotone, he was obviously reading his own book. There was hardly any emotion in it. And he never forgot to tell the listener how many women he had, which after a few hundred times, got really old. Honestly, if you're interested, like I was, read a paperback of this book.

What a great book! I really loved it. I've always been a Ted fan, but now I am even more. He's given me things to think about and challenge others on, like the global warming LIE. I agree with another reviewer here... Ted for President!

There are probably better books
Revisado: 03-26-08
This book seemed to drag on and on, and only got mildly interesting (to me anyway) toward the end. I found myself pulling for the main character, but knew what would happen as it because apparent, toward the end. I think my money could have been better spent on a different title.

Born a generation apart and with very different ideas about love and family, Mariam and Laila are two women brought jarringly together by war, by loss, and by fate. As they endure the ever escalating dangers around them, in their home as well as in the streets of Kabul, they come to form a bond that makes them both sisters and mother-daughter to each other, and that will ultimately alter the course not just of their own lives but of the next generation.

Highly recommend
Revisado: 10-23-07
In today's world of misunderstanding and intolerance, this book is an eye opener. I highly recommend this book.
The narrator was a bit irritating at times, but I appreciated her pronunciation and accent as it enhanced the meaning of the book. I liked how she used words pertaining to the characters nationality then said what the word meant in english. I felt like I learned a small bit of a new language as well as how the people of Afghanistan feel about the world today.
I will definately listen to this book again and will recommend it to friends.
