Wonderful shorts

I’ve read a few of the Bradbury essentials- like Fahrenheit 451 and Something Wicked This Way Comes, but these are new for me, and gorgeously narrated. Thrilled to find this in Audible Plus, and I’ll definitely keep my eye out for other books by this narrator. The characters really come alive through the talented performance.

Tate and Miles. Miles and Rachel. This story takes you to all the feelings. The absolute thrill and wonder of that first all-consuming young love where everything wraps you up and sends you spiraling. The rush of new attraction that turns you into a liquid one minute and leaves you broken the next. The feeling when you KNOW you're getting into something that might destroy you but you just can't help it, because not having them seems even worse. This story hurts. A lot. But it's definitely worth the ride.

sweet with a little spice

This isn't my normal type of book. I tend to stick to books with characters on the darker side. I found myself really liking this, though, and the characters all grew on me, in all their sappy, gooey glory. It was like a Hallmark Christmas movie, with a little pit stop on the after-hours channel adeptly spliced in. The narrators were excellent. Sometimes when the male narrator delivers female dialog and vice versa, it's so jarring that it takes away from the story, but in this case it was really well done and I was able to focus entirely on the storyline. This really is a sweet little story that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy in the best possible way.

The story was good overall. Some of the voices (Cee Cee, Jake) were hard to listen to, but overall it was good. This is the 2nd book I've heard from this author, the first being Tell me Lies, and I'm a fan of her writing.
