Historia
On a hot August night, Lt. Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, speed through the streets of Manhattan to the Down and Dirty club, where a joyful, boisterous pre-wedding girls’ night out has turned into a murder scene. One of the brides lies in a pool of blood, garroted in a private room where she was preparing a surprise for her fiancée—two scrimped and saved-for tickets to Hawaii. Despite the dozens of people present, useful witnesses are hard to come by. It all brings back some bad memories for Eve.

Found the characters believable and the animals in character. Love the description of the estate and Mavis' new home.

Experience the first Killashandra Ree adventure, in which the indomitable Killa overcomes disappointment in one career by diving into a much more exciting one. Filled with suspense, anguish, romance, and intrigue, this distinctive adventure is one of Anne McCaffrey's best.

Chopped to flinders.
Revisado: 11-21-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Not really, It was abridged badly. The story line skipped and jumed over the true meat of the story.
Would you be willing to try another book from Anne McCaffrey? Why or why not?
I love all of her books, but will only buy the unabridhged version of her book from now on. Audible fials to follow the rich story that is written into the book in their abridged versions.
What three words best describe Adrienne Barbeau’s voice?
Pleasant, smooth, and likeable.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes, but only if it were based on the original book.

Historia
Killashandra Ree has spent ten grueling years in musical training, anticipating interstellar celebrity as a vocal soloist. She is young, beautiful—and still without prospects. After learning that a flaw in her voice will prevent her from singing lead, she hears of the mysterious Heptite Guild on the planet Ballybran, where the fabled Black Crystal is found. Mining this strange form of crystal is a dangerous occupation but to Killa, the risks are acceptable. Remarkably, her adaptation to crystal mining is unusually easy. The problem is—few people who land on Ballybran ever leave.

Historia
Killashandra Ree was drawn like a magnet to the song of crystal, and now it's erasing her memory. She knew the forgetfulness would be a byproduct of the singing, and she doesn't mind the little annoyances, like being unable to remember her address or the names of her colleagues. But she hadn't counted on the loneliness a person can feel when the heart still remembers what the mind has forgotten. Can the crystal that destroyed her memory somehow restore it?

Disjointed story line
Revisado: 11-21-14
What did you like best about Crystal Line? What did you like least?
The book is well rounded and fulsom. This abridged version is disjointed and looses the full bodied flavor of the authors tale.
Would you recommend Crystal Line to your friends? Why or why not?
Not in this format. The abridged version makes the story choppy and disjoined. There is little continuity to the story.
Which character – as performed by Adrienne Barbeau – was your favorite?
The Main chatacter is fairly well done but coold be portraid with a little more depth.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes, IF it was based on the original book, not the abridged version.

Historia
Killashandra, one of the most gifted singers on Ballybran, is drawn like a magnet to the song of crystal. In order to work with crystal, singers are infected with a symbiotic life form that heals them and gives them near eternal life—but slowly destroys their memories. Since crystal singing brings Killashandra ecstasy, she doesn't mind the initial small annoyances of memory loss. What she hadn't counted on was the loneliness she felt when her heart still remembered what her mind had forgotten—the names of her friends and lovers.
