Historia
He lives in your community, in a nice house with a well-tended garden. He shops in your grocery store, bumping shoulders with you and apologizing with a smile. He drives beside you on the highway, politely waving you into the lane ahead of him. What you don't know is that he has an elaborate cage built into a secret basement under his garage. And the food that he's carefully shopping for is to feed a young woman he's holding there against her will - one in a string of many, unaware of the fate that awaits her.

Good book, decent ending
Revisado: 09-06-18
The overall journey was a fun one. The author does a spectacular job of bringing to life what it's like being inside the mind of a serial killer. The ending felt a little rushed, but either way, I would absolutely recommend this read if you're looking to spend a credit.

A man has taken over terminal four in LAX. He's pulled his gun out and forced everyone to take pictures of him - of what he's wearing. The QR codes he has pinned to his shirt all link to different web addresses, and as the pictures spread across social media, the world begins to pour over his manifesto. The shooter has just transformed himself into an information virus.

Narrator is great, story is great. Had a lot of fun reading this one, it was over before I knew it. Paints a great picture of a government that has become too powerful and the corruption that tags along with it.

Made it to chapter 10. Not the worst book, but i couldn't finish it. There was too many repatative "Jesus said" crap that was really annoying. No character development. Just zombie killing. Might be okay for other people.

Set during the Great Depression, The Christians tells the story of two psychopathic Bible salesmen who murder in the name of God. Hot on their trail is a former Texas Ranger, and US Bureau of Investigation (pre-FBI) agent, John Stoddard Pyle, a man who knows no mercy, and who does not know exactly whom he is chasing, as there is no apparent motive, and virtually no clues.

Not my typical genre, very good book.
Revisado: 02-02-17
This kind of book is not what I usually read, but I wanted to change up my audiobook collection and try something new for once. I had a lot of fun with this book: a few unexpected twists, some comedy, mix in some religious crazies, and viola, you've got a solid, well written book. I've already recommended it to a few friends.

Historia
The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

Best audiobook I've ever read.
Revisado: 02-12-16
Would you listen to World War Z again? Why?
Yes. I don't listen/read books twice, this is the one that I would say I would read again, and plan on it.
What other book might you compare World War Z to and why?
None. It is second to none. It is the epitome of an audio book.
Which scene was your favorite?
The blind guy in the mountains. Crazy home skillet just can't stop being a blind kung fu master of zombie destruction.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me feel incomparable joy, sadness, stress, Mark Hamill is spot on with his character, everything was amazing.
Any additional comments?
If you don't like zombies, read this. If you like zombies, read this. If you plan on reading this novel, don't, get the audio book. Get both, I'm wrong about not getting the book version. This book was the best book I've ever audiobooked.

Historia
Drawing on a trove of sealed files and previously classified material, Whitey digs deep into the mind of James J. "Whitey" Bulger, the crime boss and killer who brought the FBI to its knees. He is an American original - a psychopath who fostered a following with a frightening mix of terror, deadly intimidation, and the deft touch of a politician who often helped a family in need meet their monthly rent. But the history shows that despite the early false myths portraying him as a Robin Hood figure, Whitey was a supreme narcissist, and everything was always about him.

What did you like best about this story?
Whitey was ruthless, the background details of his life shine some new perspective on the things he did and how he got away with it all for such a long time.
Any additional comments?
If you like true crime, you can not pass this book up.

Fantastic read.
Revisado: 02-12-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Gaspipe to be better than the print version?
All audio books are better than the written version.
What does Alan Sklar bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
A really cool, deep voice that is similar to Morgan Freeman.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
This dude was a ruthless sick bastard.
Any additional comments?
Great read if you like true crime. What disturbed me a bit was it seemed to be written from his perspective, and made him out to be a nice guy through parts of the book. They left out some particular details about his life, but I do a lot of research on mobsters so I'm probably biased in that regard.

I usually hate horror, this was awesome.
Revisado: 02-12-16
What made the experience of listening to Heart-Shaped Box the most enjoyable?
Some parts are very dark and twisted. If you are easily offended, don't purchase this. I love the really dark stuff.
What other book might you compare Heart-Shaped Box to and why?
This is the one horror novel I've read. No good comparision. I'm afraid it might have ruined horror for me, it was such a good book.
Which character – as performed by Stephen Lang – was your favorite?
Craddock. Really well described, really well written, very scary. Tons of fun when he shows up.
Any additional comments?
All around tons of fun. Not a complaint here.

Fun, a bit slow.
Revisado: 02-12-16
Would you listen to American Gods: The Tenth Anniversary Edition (A Full Cast Production) again? Why?
No, I had fun the first go around but I don't tend to read books twice.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I went in blind knowing nothing about the story, when I found out everyone was a God I was pretty tripped out, I'm pretty well versed in Norse mythology, and put the pieces together.
Any additional comments?
The book was a lot of fun, but towards the end, I found myself frustrated. I was hoping the book would just end. The plot twist at the end was crazy, and I really did enjoy it, but it felt to drag on. Some parts of the story just didn't seem relevant either, but still entertaining.

Here's Tucker Max's third and final book in his series of stories about his drunken debauchery and ridiculous antics.
