I enjoyed this inside peek into the modeling and restaurant worlds. The plot was good because I kept wondering how everything was going to turn out. Listening to it certainly made doing physical therapy more bearable!

Opposites Attract!

I enjoyed listening to this. I thought the voice-to-text idea was original and was well done by the narrator. The narrator also did a great job with the laryngitis part. I could identify with raising a child and then looking back and realizing that you made some parenting errors. I also thought it was refreshing to see the possible perspective of homophobic parents, rather than just portraying them as bad guys. Lastly, I thought having the pompous woman consider majoring in philanthrophy was a nice touch because it showed that she really did have a good heart.

I have listened to the other books in this series and really loved this one. I thought the narrator did an excellent job. The story moved along smoothly. I also liked the ending.

A friend recommended this trilogy to me and I've really grown to love it. I like that it has unexpected twists and turns. I've also enjoyed seeing the inner workings of a band, with all the competitiveness and dysfunctionality. I'm hoping Nicole will write more!

Really Enjoyed This!

A friend recommended this book to me and I enjoyed listening to it. The narrator was excellent and the plot was original. Not being gay myself, but having a teenage daughter who is a lesbian, I was very interested to hear about the interactions between the women. I liked that it wasn't an issue in the plot that the characters were gay. It's more like they just happened to be gay, which was nice. I grew up in the 1980's so the idea that being gay these days isn't a major controversy is wonderful.
