What a rush! Good ride from start to finish. I'll read it again, slower next time.

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Sounds cheesy, really isn't!

I'm not a huge fan of romance novels, but I knew the author from other works, so I gave it a chance. Really, really entertaining. Not to mention the most unusual love scene I've ever seen, and I've read a lot of those! Not gonna spoil it for anyone! Now I'm addicted, and I've got to read them all.

A secret buried in the Antarctic. A puzzle unsolved for thousands of years. And a Brooklyn-born master gunnery sergeant who's royally pissed that he has to babysit the researchers sent to figure it all out. But when Patrick "Wic" Finnegan finally sees what the team has uncovered, he can't believe his eyes, nor is he prepared for the violence to come. Soon, the portal opens and unleashes a storm of unbridled fury upon humanity.

Good military SYFY

Really good stuff, you can tell this guy knows about combat and weapons, takes his time to get it right. Lots of action, not too much sex, which kind of cheapens the story line. Great aliens. Love Chuck!

Best ever Harry Dresden novel, I'm dying for the sequel! Biggest monsters yet, and enough family drama to start a war.
