Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Historia
Tabitha is not a murderer. When a body is discovered in Okeham, England, Tabitha is shocked to find herself being placed in handcuffs. It must be a mistake. She’d only recently moved back to her childhood hometown, not even getting a chance to reacquaint herself with the neighbors. How could she possibly be a murder suspect? As Tabitha is shepherded through the system, her entire life is picked apart and scrutinized - her history of depression and medications, her decision to move back to a town she supposedly hated, and her past relationship with the victim, her former teacher.

Love story, Ending fell flat.
Revisado: 02-22-25
I am not sure what to say about this Mystery. Loved the story until the last four or so chapters. Great characters and a very quick read. Best way to describe is an exhilarating rollercoaster that takes you up a long steady incline and when you reach the top it releases you into a small dip. That is how the ending of this book made me feel. Main character moves back to her home town and a former teacher of hers is killed. She is accused of murder because of her troubled past. In jail she prepares for trial. We along the way learn about the people in the town and watch the main character build a defense to save her life. Worth the read? Yes.

What a good book! Woman named Quinn commits a murder and decides to run. Due to snowy weather she stops at a run down motel. I had no trouble finishing this one quickly! You start the story thinking you know exactly what is going on but the author flips the script. Check in and check it out.

Doesn’t Disappoint
Revisado: 01-15-25
It is no surprise that this story is suspenseful and binge worthy. Took just 3 days to finish. The author knows how to draw you in, strap you in and then takes you on a wild ride. What could possibly go wrong at night on a locked mental ward? You’d be crazy not to listen to this.*wink*

Not a Happy Listener
Revisado: 01-11-25
Like the author but struggled to reach the resolution of this book because the story was so slow and dragged out. Easily could have shaved off ten chapters and gotten the same ending. With unlikeable characters being killed it was hard to care who even committed the murders. Very disappointed.

You'll die more than once
Revisado: 12-21-22
This book was so slow and had way too many characters to keep track of. I tried to see it to the end but I felt like I was slowly dying right alone with the main character. It was so painful that after weeks of this book I finally jumped to the last chapter to end my suffering. 7 1/2 felt like 700. Do not recommend.

Painfully Long and Drawn Out Story!
Revisado: 02-07-19
I really thought I was going to love this psychological thriller. The book was even praised by other authors such as Stephen King. It was compared to best selling novels such as Gone Girl. I also seriously think long and hard before committing to a stories that is 100 chapters long. The premise of the book sounded both suspenseful and intriguing. Anna Fox lives alone in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking too much wine, watching old black and white movies, and spying on her neighbors. Then she sees a murder or does she? It took so long to get to murder that I almost quit on the story. The story moves like molasses. I love character development and I love when it helps build the suspense or mystery but in this case it didn't. I kept falling asleep to this book. The outcome was easy to figure out so there was no payday for all my patience. If you suffer from insomnia I highly recommend. Otherwise, don't bother.

Chill Maker
Revisado: 02-05-19
I loved this story. At first I thought I may have trouble because the story is set in England and sometimes stories set in that region tend to run slow. No chance here. Set up of the story is after a lead Detective is defamed and ruined over an aquitted suspect who later is found to be a serial killer. The Detective comes unhinged. He losses his wife and does some time in a mental health facility. Once well and back on the job, he gets a call to a homicide. At first it appears to be a normal scene. Once further examination is done it is found the all the light bulbs but one that shines on the deceased have been removed. The body is a combination of different peoples body parts sewn together. The head, is the serial killer that was aquitted and one female arm points out the window straight at the Detectives home. Sound good? It is. I have already purchased the follow- up book. Enjoy the story!
