Enjoyable listening
Revisado: 01-06-24
I really have enjoyed listening to this series via audible. I honestly enjoy all the characters and joe is the male character you just get annoyed with and Kelly his girlfriend seems to be someone who wants to keep up with the beach street gang. Kelly seems so ungrateful abt most things the engagement ring that was joes grandmas the way joe looks. She is always comparing her self to the “ medium” team she just seems so jealous. I hope she never finds out the truth about the mediums. Kelly is the character I love to hate.

Wasted my time
Revisado: 11-30-23
This was just terrible. To begin with the plot line made no sense and it just wasn’t worth going back and listening again and the 2 main characters that I do remember with speaking parts were just not interesting so my mind may have gotten involved in other things while listening I’m not listening to part 2 if there is one I don’t like the screaming in my headset and wish I had picked a wiser choice.

WOW! I never thought….
Revisado: 11-30-23
This is one of the best podcast I’ve listened to. I was not ready prepared or suspecting of the twist and turns. I literally binged listened to this. Although I was suspicious of one of the characters in the beginning I never saw this end coming. Truly had wow power. The one thing I would have liked less of was the one minute dissertation given at the end of each episode. Otherwise I stand on my original WOW!!!

Historia
I’m here, standing in front of my one-night stand’s house, working up the courage to ring the doorbell and tell him I’m pregnant. I hate that term—one-night stand. It sounds so cheap and sleazy. Tobias Holiday is neither of those things. He’s handsome and caring. Witty and charismatic. And once, a long time ago, he was mine. Our one-night reunion was only supposed to be a hookup. A fling with an old lover. A parting farewell before I moved to London and put my feelings for him an ocean away. How exactly am I supposed to explain that to Tobias that I’m having his baby?

Sorry I continued

This is the third book in this series.
The first 2 were cute enjoyable and enjoyable. The narrator for this book was terrible. Her voice and voice inflection sounded like every statement every word was a question. And if not sounding like a question she sounded breathy or whinny. Not everything needs to be whinny breathy or a question. Even when it was just a general narration she was breathy whinny. I had to stop after chapter 4 I couldn’t listen to the female narrator.

Historia
Anna-Marie Halsey loves her job as a regular on the soap opera Southern Heat almost as much as she loves living the LA lifestyle: clubbing and partying and casually dating gorgeous men - most recently powerhouse agent Josh Rios. When Anna-Marie starts feeling more-than-casual about Josh - her signature cue to break things off - she finds a much-needed excuse to get away: a family reunion in small-town Wyoming.

No no no

This is part 2, I read the extra and Annamarie did not seem to be so whiny, indecisive insecure and broken in the first book. In the extra Anamarie owned her sexuality called the shots and didn’t seem to worry so much about what people think. The second book is basically about Annamarie as the lead character instead of a secondary role as she was in the extra. In this book Anamarie is whiny even when she’s supposed to be happy about Josh showing up. ***spoiler *** during the conversation between Anamarie and Gabby the narrator makes Anamarie again sound whiny and indecisive and Gabby is the voice of reason. However it does get hard to follow the conversation between the 2 as the narrator doesn’t make any attempt to differentiate between voices. This whole story is the lead character Anamarie talking about her low self esteem, inability to be in a committed relationship and how her lowbrow relatives embarrass her. Instead of embracing her success she continually bemoans how her agent doesn’t think she can do more than her current acting role. Even when Josh offers her his representation because he feels she could do more and assured her she had talent she still insist on playing the poor me role. She has parental issues and needs her own therapy for whatever reason has a twisted since of her self and feelings. Listening to this character it almost seems that she’s been abused somewhere in her past, her parents have placed a ridiculous expectation of success on her. She acts as though she’s the only person in the world who has had someone lie to them , who has insecurities, who wonders about relationships that may or may not work out. I would not recommend this book.

Annunciation is very important to me. Locals know that Bodie Island / Bodie island lighthouse is not BODY.
Revisado: 06-20-21
This was my very first book by author and narrator. I’m not sure I enjoyed either, I couldn’t tell the differences between characters voices so I was confused often to who was speaking and the OBX accent is a very unique one and hard to mimic. It was not capture here at all. Even the English accent was something not quite caught by the narrator. I’m not sure I want to hear this narrator again, not sure I want to follow the series, this is all before chapter one. I couldn’t make it through the full first chapter. I don’t want to dissuade anyone from listening it just wasn’t for me.

Mad magic
Revisado: 02-17-21
Mad magic more like mad boyfriend.... once Josie finds out who Ben actually is....she flips from being independent teen on verge of adulthood to an insipid teen who answers “ Ben” like an 8 year old child and although Ben hadn’t been hands on for a good portion of her “alone” life the interaction between them is sometimes adultish to childlike to much to keep up with. The story was over all good but the voice of “Ben” or zelpth or whatever his name was absolutely sucked
