Historia
Best-selling author Pat Conroy acknowledges the books that have shaped him and celebrates the profound effect reading has had on his life. Pat Conroy, the beloved American storyteller, is a voracious reader. Starting as a childhood passion that bloomed into a life-long companion, reading has been Conroy’s portal to the world, both to the farthest corners of the globe and to the deepest chambers of the human soul. His interests range widely, from Milton to Tolkien, Philip Roth to Thucydides, encompassing poetry, history, philosophy, and any mesmerizing tale of his native South.

Magnificent
Revisado: 07-29-22
I’ve read this wonderful gem of a book in print, then, years later I stumbled across the Audible version. There is a reason why Conroy narrates his own work—-his rhythm and cadence and personality shine through each word of each chapter of each story from beginning to end. Just a marvelous time with one of my favorite authors. I’ll listen to it again and again.

Historia
As a highly respected pollster for corporate and Republican clients and a frequent television talk show guest, Kellyanne Conway had already established herself as one of the brightest lights on the national political scene when Donald Trump asked her to run his presidential campaign. She agreed, delivering him to the White House, becoming the first woman in American history to manage a winning presidential campaign. Who she is, how she did it, and who tried to stop her is a fascinating story of personal triumph and political intrigue that has never been told…until now.

Simply-Outstanding.
Revisado: 06-24-22
What an outstanding memoir. I listened it in my car, on long runs—not a dry word and sometimes not a dry eye. Conway’s memoir goes far beyond politics. It is that and so much more. It really is a story that every American could identify with on some level and hopefully on the level of humanity. I loved the Audible version and I am now going to buy the print for my bookshelf. Well done KAC. Well done.

Historia
When Bill Bratton became a Boston street cop after his return from serving in Vietnam, he was dismayed by the corrupt old guard, and it is fair to say the old guard was dismayed by him, too. But his success fighting crime could not be denied. Propelled by extraordinary results, Bratton had a dazzling rise, and ultimately a dazzling career, becoming the most famous police commissioner of modern times. The Profession is the story of that career in full.
