Historia
Polls reveal that 85 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy behind Lee Harvey Oswald. Some even believe Oswald was entirely innocent. In this encyclopedic, absorbing audiobook, Vincent Bugliosi shows how the public has come to believe such lies about the day that changed the course of history. Bugliosi has devoted almost 20 years of his life to this project, and is determined to show that, despite the overwhelming popular perception, Oswald killed Kennedy and acted alone.

The world is no longer safe for the Dragon Rider Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn. An evil king has been toppled, and they are left to face the consequences of the reluctant role they played in his reign of terror. Now they are hated and alone, exiled to the outskirts of society. Throughout the land, hushed voices whisper of brittle ground and a faint scent of brimstone in the air—and Murtagh senses that something wicked lurks in the shadows of Alagaësia. So begins an epic journey into lands both familiar and untraveled.

Jumped right back into the world Paolini created
Revisado: 02-24-24
A great addition to Paolini’s world of Alagaesia, it was nice to see it from a different perspective. Murtagh is such a compelling and complex character. I personally enjoyed seeing him face numerous trials as a means by which to refine and mold him into a redemptive character. Others didn’t like that he seemed weak, but I found interest in how Galbatorix limited his personal power and how Murtagh found himself needing to “catch up”. Very well crafted, and excellently executed in audio form, it made for an enjoyable listen from start to finish.

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

Excellent audio seminar
Revisado: 03-13-23
Absolutely loved this live audio format! There is something about the audience that helps captivate the audio listener, much greater than a narrated book. Even when narrated by the author. I hope that audible continues to invest in bringing these conference/seminar type of media. The author is very easy to identify with an offer. A great deal of learning opportunities are for the listener to adopt. I look forward to checking out, her other books/listening formats.

I enjoyed this take on the Arthurian legend. The author develops the characters well, albeit slowly. But if you stick with it, the story culminates into a satisfying and interesting tale. Definitely worthwhile and I look forward to future installments.

Hal Moore led his life by a set of principles - a code developed through years of experience, trial-and-error, and the study of leaders of every stripe. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Moore's life touched upon many historical events: the Occupation of Japan, the Korean War, Vietnam, and the refashioning of the US Army into an all-volunteer force. At each juncture, he learned critical lessons and had opportunities to affect change through measured responses.

Revisado: 12-16-22
Good solid narration and great structure. I liked the key points at the end of each chapter. It was sometimes confusing to discern what was direct quotes from Moore vs 3rd person. On this instance, a second narrator would clarify. But it wasn’t detrimental to message delivery.

This was another strong story and narration. I am interested that the narrator pronounced the bard’s name Dandy-lion in this book where the adjacent books Dan-dee-lee-un. Nevertheless, very captivating stories and perfect for long commutes!

Fantastic Backstory of the Revolution
Revisado: 03-02-20
Washington’s Spies is a really great look into 18th century espionage. Focusing on the Culper Ring, it amazes me how difficult it was to get information from point A to point B. The story was easy to follow, developed in a logical manner, and was entertaining. The narrator had a good voice and pace. Highly recommend!
