Historia
Fearless, candid, and incredibly funny, Lauren Holmes is a newcomer who writes like a master. She tackles eros and intimacy with a deceptively light touch, a keen awareness of how their nervous systems tangle and sometimes short-circuit, and a genius for revealing our most vulnerable, spirited selves. With heart, sass, and pitch-perfect characters, Barbara the Slut is a head-turning debut from a writer with a limitless career before her.

Awful
Revisado: 01-15-16
This was a book club choice and in my opinion the worst ever selected. Narrator did a good job but the stories were pointless, poorly written and left me with the urge to shout, "what was she thinking?!"

Historia
Based on more than 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.

Fabulous Book
Revisado: 11-22-11
Loved this book. The research done by Mr. Isaacson is extremely thorough, and I felt we'd been given a terrific insight into a fascinating individual. I hated to reach the end as I was enjoying it so much. Like others, however, I thought this was NOT the right narrator for the story. I didn't want a Steve Jobs imitator, but rather a reader whose voice didn't grate on my nerves and who didn't add inflections that seemed inappropriate to the text. I think I might buy it on an iPad to re-read it.
