Loved the stories and the way they were told. I have read a lot of things regarding Greek Myths, but I have never read something like this. The author just writes in such a fun way, while still including all of the important information on the different gods. I hope many people will have the pleasure of reading this book.

I would highly recommend this audio book to anyone who enjoys political and cultural satire. I would rank this right up there with Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift (although many people mistake it for a children's story rather than cultural satire - the same will likely be true with this book).

I found myself often laughing out loud and nodding my head sadly as Hubbard pokes fun at many of our strange foibles. It is rather remarkable that this book was written so many years ago, as many of the tendencies he points out still manifest themselves today. Most notably, the use of PR and the press have become, if anything, more outrageous than they were 30 years ago. Years after this book made that clear, I watched Michael Jackson hounded literally to death by those very tools.

This is the book for anyone who wants to learn what is really going on in our culture today and can enjoy laughing about it at the same time. If you don't have a good sense of humor, don't bother - you won't get it.

Being somewhat dated (written in the mid-1980s, I believe) this satire of modern day America lacks cell phones, the Internet, and even any significant mention of computers! Despite all of that, the reader will see clear parallels between this story and many very current events. If anything, the technological changes that have occurred in the last 30 years have exacerbated these phenomena. If you enjoy a wild ride performed brilliantly with a great sense of humor, these books are for you.

Fantastic. Had me grinning from beginning to end. Hubbard sure knows how to tell a story.

Absolutely enjoyable from start to finish, this is by far the best science fiction novel I've ever read. I only wish that Hubbard had written a few dozen more just like it.
