This contains erotica.
Revisado: 10-16-23
wish it mentioned the erotica because I listen to my books at work and don't find 5 minute erotic scenes to be something I want to at work. the author switches first person between 2 characters. that wouldn't be a big deal if the actor used a slightly different voice to signify the change but he doesn't. if you miss at the beginning of the chapter who is talking you have to wait for some type of context to tell you. overall the story wasn't bad and could be a good series but, because of these issues I have with it, I won't be finding out.

Historia
Vasilis "Billy" Kostopolos is a Bay Area Rust Belt refugee, a failed sci-fi writer, a successful barfly, and, since the exceptionally American zombie apocalypse, an accomplished "driller" of reanimated corpses. There aren't many sane, well-adjusted human beings left in San Francisco, but facing the end of the world, Billy's found his vocation trepanning the undead, peddling his one and only published short story, and drinking himself to death.

not my taste but well executed
Revisado: 05-25-21
the story is not for me, the voice actor is on point for the character and the story was not bad exactly, but i found it hard to want to listen to it.

Historia
It's the end of the 19th century in San Francisco's Chinatown, and ghost hunters from the Maoshan traditions of Daoism keep malevolent spiritual forces at bay. Li-lin, the daughter of a renowned Daoshi exorcist, is a young widow burdened with yin eyes - the unique ability to see the spirit world. Her spiritual visions and the death of her husband bring shame to Li-lin and her father - and shame is not something this immigrant family can afford.

definitely worth a listen

well researched and written. the voice actor does exceedingly well at making you feel the love, pain, and sorrow of the main character of the book.

the story wasn't bad, kind of cookie cutter. the author needs a thesaurus, if my headline wasn't clear enough.

Historia
Scranton, the strangest city on earth has an uneasy “live and let unlive” relationship with the supernatural. But when a vamp puts the bite on an unwilling victim, or some witch casts the wrong kind of spell, that’s when they call me. “My name’s Markowski, a Detective Sergeant on the Scranton PD’s Supernatural Crimes Investigation Unit. I carry a badge. Also, a crucifix, some wooden stakes, a big vial of holy water, and a 9mm Beretta loaded with silver bullets.”
