Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

Very Poor
Revisado: 09-02-21
I have done all the Gabriel Alon books books. They are all great except this one. A good portion of the book bashed the Russians. Regardless of your political affiliation and national alliance, listeing to hours of corruption required many fast forwards. A first for Daniel Silva books. Suspect this is the end of the road for this series.

Stupid, dark. Even includes obnoxious children
Revisado: 04-28-21
Choose another book. The first 2 in the Private series were very good. This one came off the rails.

Too many words
Revisado: 01-03-19
I have listen to almost all the Lee Child/JR books. This one was the worst. Endless, dragged out scenes. I yelled at my car stereo - JUST GET ON WITH IT - daily. For the first time ever, I HAD to fast forward through the ending! The story and performance of the reader were fine, but the writing was awful. Atypical of this author.

What did you love best about At the Reunion Buffet?
the author and the series
Who was your favorite character and why?
isabel...
What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
come on, either you are a fabulous narrator or you are not. she is.
I purchase audio books for being able to listen while driving so there is no substitute for a narrator.
Any additional comments?
I was so disappointed when the book ended. I had not paid attention to the run time. I hope this is a one off and future Isabel Dalhousie books will be more fleshed out. my time with her was so short. very disappointing.

Need a fast forward button
Revisado: 04-18-14
What would have made The Lions of Lucerne better?
Editing. Scott - the main character, supposedly a seasoned Navy man, is a yahoo and it takes endless verbiage to make him that way. The plot was reasonable, until you find out that key people in the "trust circle" is part of the plot. Jeez.
Stay away from this book if you do not have an easily assessable fast forwarding capability.
Would you ever listen to anything by Brad Thor again?
Perhaps
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Armand Schultz?
Narrator was fine.
