Historia
Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of best-selling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish. Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity's notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn't expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read.

Not enjoyable
Revisado: 10-13-22
I listen to a lot of thrillers and I've never listened to one like this before. Too much romance and melodrama. There was a lot of gratuitous sex, so much so, it was laughable.

Historia
Liv Reese wakes up in the back of a taxi with no idea where she is or how she got there. When she’s dropped off at the door of her brownstone, a stranger answers—a stranger who claims to live in her apartment. She reaches for her phone to call for help, only to discover it’s missing. In its place is a bloodstained knife. Her hands are covered in scribbled messages, like graffiti on her skin: STAY AWAKE. Two years ago, Liv was thriving as a successful writer for a trendy magazine. Now, she’s lost and disoriented in a New York City that looks nothing like what she remembers.

Never heard anything like this before
Revisado: 09-30-22
Story was OK. There were 2 narrators and one was terrible. I could barely get through it. She over emphasized words in a way I can't describe. I have never heard anything like it before. I do not place blame with narrators. Blame should be placed on production. It is shocking this book was released in this terrible state.

Historia
I pinch the screen to zoom until I’m staring at the face of a ghost. A man with very short hair, staring directly at the camera with piercing brown eyes. He is as he was when I last saw him: wrinkles around the corners of the eyes and a knowing smirk. That’s the expression I see when I can’t sleep. My body tenses. It can’t be him. It’s not my ex-husband. It’s not David. I know that better than anyone because he didn’t walk out on me. He didn’t disappear two years ago and he’s not a missing person. I know that for a fact because I’m the one who killed him.

painfully slow
Revisado: 01-13-20
Not only was the story painfully slow, but the narrator, who has an otherwise lovely voice, spoke at an irritatingly sluggish pace.

melodrama, adverbs, and old spice...
Revisado: 12-30-19
...If you like these things, this book is for you. Was written in the style of a romance novel more than a mystery or thriller and was not what I was hoping for. Narrator has a lovely voice, but some characters were overdone and distracting though maybe she did the voices that way to match the writing. If so, she was perfect.
