Historia
Worn out after decades of packing steel and raising hell, Viv, the orc barbarian, cashes out of the warrior’s life with one final score. A forgotten legend, a fabled artifact, and an unreasonable amount of hope lead her to the streets of Thune, where she plans to open the first coffee shop the city has ever seen. However, her dreams of a fresh start filling mugs instead of swinging swords are hardly a sure bet. Old frenemies and Thune’s shady underbelly may just upset her plans. To finally build something that will last, Viv will need some new partners, and a different kind of resolve.

Surpassed high expectations
Revisado: 12-12-22
Baldree is my most favorite narrator, so when I found out he wrote as well I was beyond excited. Beautiful story with great characters, good progression and no slumps. Highly recommend!

Historia
Through clever usage of construction techniques as well as ham-fisted applications of force, Carl survived being reborn as a shadow dragon inside the Scoured Mountain. The future is looking bright for him and his band of trash-tier minions, and they’ll have ample time to decide exactly which kind of society they want to build in this violence-filled world. There’s just one tiny problem. Only one dragon gets to be in charge, and every single other dragon from his clutch survived as well.

I enjoyed it!
Revisado: 05-24-22
This was a great second installment of what I hope continues on to be a fantastic series. The author carries the story over nicely and brings his detailed but compelling action scenes thru as well. There is lots of character growth without feeling forced and some nice world building as well as new characters to love and hate. Will be reading the next one of the series when it drops!

Historia
Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Very much enjoyed it by the end
Revisado: 04-26-22
In the beginning of the book the MC is a little too pretentious for my taste. I really had the muscle through the 3 or 4 chapters But after a while they really start to warm up on you. I enjoyed the pace of the book I didn't feel like there were a lot of slow parts and I didn't feel like it was a bunch of action packed filler fight scenes. Speaking of fight scenes the author really did a good job in my opinion , normally my favorite part in a book is the dialog I love the spoken part of the story however the author had me on the edge of my seat while driving listening raptly to all of the action packed scenes. All in all I enjoyed this book very much and and can't wait for a second installment.

Historia
There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Good story premise just for a younger crowd
Revisado: 07-16-21
they story was ok, could've been better. I feel like this isn't necessarily a YA teen book, feels more geared towards middle school. not interested in following the sequels of the story but I did finish this book. it ended in a nice place. With lots of room to grow but not on a huge cliff hanger.

Historia
Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Never to experience pleasure. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. But the choice has never been hers.

Slow to start
Revisado: 05-20-21
This story woz slow to star at took several chapters for me to be able to really delve deep and for it to snag my attention however I really thoroughly enjoyed it once it started getting good. The big twist is easy to see from miles away, But the author wrote the main characters surprise very genuinely and I still felt immersed in the story But the author wrote the main characters surprise very genuinely and I still felt immersed In the maiden's heart and mind. 4 out of 5 stars and I like it enough that I am going to start reading the 2nd in the series

Great 2nd installment in this series! Everything meshes together so nicely; the story line, the character arcs, the main character group development and new characters, new environments in the world, just amazing immersive work! I pre-ordered the next installment same day I finished pyramid game.

Just wonderful!
Revisado: 09-29-20
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am about to download the next installment. Characters are real with some hardships and trials that you don't normally equate with this type genre. Narration is wonderful! I've listened to some good books that just got ruined from narration that doesn't do the story justice, not so for this! highly reccomend !!
