Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

The reader sounds like a computer
Revisado: 07-10-20
The reader sounds like a computer generated voice and as you can imagine, it's hard to relate to a computer. The content of the book however, is very thoughtful and in the end, a powerful message was received. This book will have contributed to my growth as an individual wanting to confront my own racism, own up to it, and ultimately, do something about it. Hopefully, I will rise to this challenge.

The reader is beyond exceptional
Revisado: 11-20-19
I was so impressed with this reader's ability to impersonate all the different characters in the book. It was a fascinating journey listening to him. I will miss him!

Wish the reader was a man, as the narrator of the story
Revisado: 06-01-19
As amazing a reader as she was, Guila made it just a little bit harder to imagine the reality of the utter horror of the holocaust since the narrator of the story is in reality a man, why would Audible pick a woman to read it?
