A Refreshing Heroine and a Story Off the Usual Beat

This story was initially put in my library for less "plot" related reasons if you catch my drift. So imagine my surprise when I put it on and can't put it down. The plot follows a pace most stories don't, and I never knew what was going to happen next. Additionally, while I've seen a few reviews complaining that they didn't like the FMC I really can't relate. I thought she was refreshingly unique, and while I'm nothing like her I also found myself constantly relating to her. In her situation, her choices make way more sense than for those of us stuck in the real world.
Give it a real chance, please! Also, the male narrator for this book is 🫠

Wonderful cast, awesome listen.
But the first two books were advertised as part 1 of 2 and part 2 of 2- Audible, you need to CHANGE the title of this to part 1 of 3. I finished this and started on the next book, immediately hit by spoilers. Fix this.
